Serenity studio lives up to it’s name! The people who attend the classes are very nice and non judgmental. The owner, Michael, does an excellent job helping us everyday people experience relaxation and whole person health. I would highly recommend Serenity!

When I moved to Yuma I wasn’t sure if this town would offer yoga and I was pleasantly surprised to find Serenity Yoga! I have practiced yoga in the past in CA and Phoenix and i have been out of practice for some time… my significant other has NEVER practiced yoga… he and I have attended the yoga tune-up class with Mike and we both love it! It’s a great way to start your weekend and get a light sweat/intense stretch! Mike is a great instructor and I like his gentle/funny personality. I have went ahead and purchased a month of unlimited classes since its a deal and that way I don’t have to worry about it for a month and just go and enjoy. I strongly encourage everyone to try yoga at least once or maybe three times. It can be a way of life for some people.

Have practiced at Serenity for several years. There are a variety of instructors who all bring different strengths to their teaching. One is great with Yoga Tone, another is a wiz at helping you work on alignment. The classes are what you make of them. The atmosphere is very positive, constructive and peaceful. Serenity Yoga has created a nice community of students and teachers and really cultivated their niche in Yuma.

The only yoga studio in Yuma. I’ve been to this studio a couple of times. Once for the Ashtanga class and once for the intermediate yoga class. Upside: The studio is large and looks newly renovated. Mirrored front wall, hardwood floors, Mediterranean style paintings that accent the walls. Classes are never crowded. No reservation needed. Downside: Limited classes throughout the week. Very limited options for intermediate /advanced yogis. The one and only Ashtanga class on Sunday is just ok. The intermediate class was disappointing. Maybe it was a language barrier thing that was frustrating for me. Overall, the skill level of the classes are subpar in my opinion. I also don’t care much for their music options. If background music is going to be used I would assume something Zen not 80’s tunes. I expected more for $ 12/class.
