Disappointed!!! I had never been to Stan’s and when I tried it I was disappointed. Personally for me it was not as good as I thought it would be. Burrito lacked my beans! I only ordered potatoes and beans and there were hardly any beans in it at all. Potatoes they use I can assure you are not fresh they look like frozen potatoes. But you know some people like this stuff, I don’t!!! I liked the competitors burritos better! Stan’s you have been in business for 40 years and have maintained it, props to you! But to me personally I saw it as quantity… not quality.

THEBESTBURRITOSEVER!!! Every burrito I’ve had from here is AMAZING!!! I’m not even that into Mexican food and I CRAVE these burritos! My favorite is the breakfast burrito that has chunks of bacon meat in it. These are not your typical thin sliced bacon, it’s like cubes of bacon meat. I swear they are probably triple, quadruple deep fried but it’s DELICIOUS!!! Can’t get enough of these burritos!

Great small town feel and fun atmosphere. I had the supreme breakfast burrito because I read the reviews. This isn’t a bad burrito. The tortilla is lacking that silky feel. I like that smooth fresh baked smelling quality that could stand on its own. The potatoes are from can as they are these perfect little squares. There are creamy beans, bacon, eggs, a bit of melted cheese and it’s a great size. The salsas are nice. What I’ve always liked about this place is the neighborhood charm and warm atmosphere when dining in.

Stopped in based on a recommendation from Manuel. They get my vote for the best breakfast burrito! Try it with the tomatillo sauce! Excellent!

The place where you buy a breakfast burrito in Arizona. Try the chorizo, potato and egg(I request cheese on mine) it’s approaches perfection.

Best burritos in town, hands down. Great selection, and just something so fresh and delicious about them.

Carne asada burrito with potatoes and absolutely amazing. I just came from San Diego and I now realize that I’ve been eating substandard burritos for the last 2 years. I cannot believe how wonderfully marinated and cooked this food is.

Two thumbs up! We were on out way from Phoenix to San Diego & stopped in for a bite. The tortillas were the freshest I’ve ever had! One recommendation: come hunger because the burritos are HUGE

Not thrilled. I have been here several times and each time I have been underwhelmed. Sure the burritoes are big, but why get a big boring burrito that cost over five bucks? I don’t know what the fuss is about.

Stan’s new low carb breakfast burrito hits the spot! It even has nopales in it, and the seasoning is perfect! This is the first time I have eaten here and I will definitely be back.

Their breakfast burritos are bomb! They pack these tortillas with so much ingredients that with each bite you get a wonderful sensation. I am not telling lies, but this is one restaurant that must not be bypassed. The place is a bit small and very little parking other than on the street but it is worth the walk. The staff are very friendly and are willing to chat with you and the salsa here is really good. There are plenty of choices of drinks being that it is also a market but they do have a soda fountain. However, I did order a carne asada burrito and it was a bit under par. The meat reminded me a lot of hamburger and that is not how carne asada should taste. Anyways, come here for a great breakfast meal and leave with a smile! Also, they are only open from 6:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sundays.

Breakfast burrito Karma! The Supreme with bacon or as I like to call it, The Super Cinco(Five for you non-spanish speakers). The Super Cinco consists of five basic ingredients, eggs, bacon, potatoes, beans and cheese all cooked to perfection and combined together with precision. All ingredients are well proportioned so that every bite includes a taste of all five. The bacon is meaty and cooked through well. It is not rushed to avoid having a rubbery, chewy texture. The potatoes(not french fries like others use to cut corners) are nevery soggy. They use real eggs(not the liquid stuff used at other places), which brings the bacon and potatoes together. The amount of cheese and delicious beans is minimal but appropriate and never drip out the bottom end. It’s all wrapped in a large, warm flour tortilla to create nearly half a pound of breakfast burrito flavor explosion. Now the red salsa, which I’ve tried to recreate is amazing. I know it has tomatoes and tomatillos, jalapeños, garlic??? Maybe one day Joann will share her secret with me. At any rate, it’s not too spicy and has great flavor. It comes in a very small plastic container, because it’s like gold. Once I ordered to go, but decided to sit and eat and Joann went to my table and took my salsa out of my brown bag as there are small salsa dishes at each high table. She’s now added a salsa bar near the entrance. Stan’s in a whole in the wall, but a rarity in a city with Mexican food eateries in almost every corner. A true locals spot that serves up amazing breakfast. Not much has changed since the first time I had a Super Cinco fifteen years ago.

I got a bean, cheese and rice burrito. I’m a vegetarian, and the lard in the refried beans was very obvious, but I was particularly hungry and didn’t have much hope for finding a better breakfast anywhere else in Yuma. Nor did I want to spend any more time there looking. So I just poured plenty of salsa on my burrito, which was a brilliant idea because the salsas were fantastic. My girlfriend said her egg and potato burrito was delicious and the locals sitting next to us were definitely enjoying their breakfast. What I liked was that the dining area was the back of this tiny grocery/convenience store. I don’t plan on ever being in Yuma again. Nor do I ever plan on eating eggs or meat. But if I ever do both, Stan’s will definitely be my place for breakfast.

Drove over here to try their breakfast burritos. Semi-disorganized establishment and system for ordering food, but it works. Be sure you know what you want, because I got the feeling that patience is in short supply. Nice, spicy hot sauce. I’m a fan of that stuff. The green seems just as hot as the red. I ordered the sausage, potato, and egg and a supreme breakfast burrito. The supreme was tasty and stayed together with the help of refried beans, but the other burrito did not and fell apart. Both were large and filling and a very good purchase for the asking price. While not the best I have had, Stan’s offers up fresh food at an affordable price.

I am from San Diego and in planning a road trip I wanted a quick and tasty breakfast for me and the family. I have a 9 and 11 year old. So I found Stan’s on Unilocal and the location was ideal close to the I-10. Following other Unilocaler’s advice I called about 15 miles before arriving and ordered two burritos, a special with potatoes, beans, bacon and egg. The was machaca. The burritos were big enough to share but I could have easily eaten o whole one. Okay here is the good, bad and the ugly about Stan’s famous breakfast burritos: Good– the special burrito was delicious! The green and red salsas that are offered in little to go plastic containers are awesome… we loved both but for me the green has New Mexico green chile written all over it. The flour tortillas they use have a great taste. Bad– the parking can be problematic since it is on a busy street and only a few spots in front, as can the chaotic service as they are very busy and under-staffed. Ugly– the machaca sucks! It taste like canned meat and has no eggs or onion/bell pepper. Perhaps you have to request those items but still the meat tasted really bad. Overall, I liked the special, wife hated the machaca. Advice: pre order and still expect to wait so be patient. I will definitely go back!

We went to Stan’s Grocery after reading the reviews here. We were not disappointed! I called and asked for Joann, told her I was new to Stan’s and I asked her to make me two burritos that were popular. She made us a Supreme Breakfast Burrito which had scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and some frijoles(not very many frijoles, btw). It was great. The second burrito was scrambled eggs and sausage. Simple, and good. Highly reccomended. Go to Stan’s for breakfast burritos.

Best Breakfast Burritos in Yuma. This unassuming mom & pop grocery store has a huge selection of breakfast burritos. I usually go in there to order 1 or 2 and have waited up to 25 minutes. The reason is that every office in Yuma sends someone in to pick up burritos for the crew. People are walking out with boxes of 10 – 30 burritos at a time. With only 2 people working the store & grill, you have to be patient, but it’s worth the wait every time. It would be a good idea to just phone in your order, even if it’s for a few burritos.
