The falafel was flavorful, but the pita wrap fell apart. I’ve had them with the same amount of stuffing without it falling apart, so maybe they need to get some larger pita bread. The hummus was good too.

Great place for a quick, healthy and delicious lunch. Loved the hummus appetizer and the chicken pita wrap was excellent. I’ll be back again!

This is one of our top 2 fave spots in Zachary. Whole family enjoys the trips. Service could be a smidge more professional, but the menu is great, food is consistently lovely, and the owners are wonderfully pleasant.

All the food is amazing and staff and owners are always on their A game. Schwarma is amazing and the house dressing is perfect. Lite and tasty. Shrimp are huge and delicious in each dish.

This is my favorite Greek and Lebanese place! Who am I kidding, it’s my favorite restaurant, period. For me comfort food rules, and this is as comfortable as it gets for me! Food and service are always great!

Absolutely the best Greek place EVER in my opinion. I always get the Chicken Shawarma plate. Chicken has an awesome flavor!!! Their plates include hummus, rice, and feta salad. Good customer service! Good prices! M-F lunch specials 11am-2:30pm. I eat here at least once a week

We have been here twice in the past few weeks. Every time the food, service and atmosphere has been fantastic. I’d eat here every day if it weren’t a 30 mile drive from the RV park we are staying at. It will be something I miss when we go home. The portions are huge so you don’t mind the price. We get the sampler platter for two and it always has enough left over for another entire meal!

Fantastic food, great service, this place is a little diamond of a restaurant. For an appetizer, my dad got the shrimp soup, with was full and hearty with vegetables of all kinds in a delicious red stew-broth. For my main meal, I got the Phoenicia’s Pasta with chicken. It was delicious, but filling, I could only eat half, the sauce was cream based with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms. My dad got the veggie platter– I almost wish I’d gotten that, it was so good with rice pilaf, house made hummus and sautéed veggies in balsamic vinegar. It came with pita bread too. Both were good, and for dessert I had the tiramisu. So good, some of the best I’ve had. Try the Lebanese iced tea– better than an arnie Palmer. Overall, a great place.

The BEST place to eat in all of Zachary! The wife and I have had Mediterranean food before and this is the best place for Mediterranean. Wife and I had the Gyro and Chicken(Shwarma) plate and it was hot, full of flavor, and moist. The salad that came with our meal was amazing as well. For an appetizer we had the fried cheese. It was amazing in the oil and garlic! For dessert we had the backlava. All of the food was delicious! Service was great and it was very quiet. Great place for a date night. We will be back! Thank you!

Good food, good wine list, wife enjoyed the Phoenician burger, I had the Mixed Greek(not sure of exact name) platter for one. Very good sized portions. Service was good, floor needed to be swept.

I didn’t know what to expect going to Café Phoenicia. When my friend took me here for lunch, I expected it to be terrible. I mean… who would know anything about Greek food in Zachary, Louisiana… I’m happy to say that I couldn’t have been more wrong. Café Phoenicia is a win. The food was some of the best Greek that I’ve ever had. From the spinach pie being perfectly cooked and spiced with the filo dough being the perfect texture… to the hummus which absolutely wasn’t heavy as most hummuses are… it really rocked. I had the Veggie Phoenicia plate and it was spot on. It came with a great mix of vegetables, a salad and the two other items I mentioned above… and I was just blown away. On top of the excellent food, the staff was great and the venue was super nice and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone who craves greek in the Baton Rouge region… seriously… I was blown away.

Our experience here was… interesting. It was our first time eating Mediterranean food. Husband had the shrimp pasta, I had the meat mousaka. The meat mousaka was good. No complaints… but it’s not something I’m dying to go back and have again. Can’t fault the restaurant for this — as a first-timer, it’s hard to know what to order. The shrimp in the pasta still had the tails attached. It’s not easy to remove the tails off of a shrimp that is covered in sauce. The flavor was good, but the shrimp tail thing was a turn-off. Now let’s talk about the salad that came with our meals. The mint flavor in the dressing didn’t do much for me, but my husband loved it. Or at least he did until he found a large piece of plastic/glass in his bowl.(Think the end of a clear plastic fork.) I have to give the restaurant credit — not only were they extremely apologetic, but they comped our entire meal. It’s hard for me to give an overall opinion of this place. Without having Greek food before, I can’t rate them in comparison to anything else. But I personally didn’t taste anything that made me want to return. Husband actually mentioned the other day that he’s craving the salad, so I guess that says something!

Pretty dang good if your into Mediterranean food. Decent atmosphere bordering on a bit stuffy considering its in a strip mall in zachary. The staff was great and the beer was cold. My only real issue is the lack of taps at the bar. Bottles only. It woulda been a 4 if you had draft.

I would give more stars if I could! I was working for a week around Zachary and staying in town. I saw the other reviews so I thought i would give it a try. Needless to say, I ended up eating there THREE times. Great service and delicious food, the portions are large and everything I tried was very tasty. Try the sampler, it has a little bit of everything and is huge! If my work ever brings me down to this area again, Café Phoenicia is definitely one of first stops!

One of our favorite places in Zachary. Baton Rouge and its environs have great mediterranean food and Café Phoenicia is the best of the lot. Great food in a nice atmosphere. It’s rarely crowded and whether you are looking for something new or a traditional plate of Greek food this will fit the bill.
