In 1998 I purchased a diamond ring from Dunkin’s. When I picked the ring up after sizing, The diamond was different not the one I originally purchased. My receipt stated .5 carat diamond. The inside of the band was stamped .47 Obviously, something wasn’t right. I had to research with the FTC. Only to find out they violated FTC rules. A diamond with a weight of .48 may be called a .5 carat. NOT .47. They did not believe me until I pulled out my FTC documents. They were then scared. They offered to bring in loose diamonds and let me choose the one I wanted. I did and went on my way. I do not reccomend this store unless your diamonds are mapped. I was very sick over the whole situation. This was a college grad gift to me from my family. In the end, they fixed it. However, had the stamp matched the size I would have been stuck with the diamond the changed out.
