I’ve eaten here since it was Adornettos south. The food was always great and the salads to die for(love the dressing). The last few times we’ve got food to go, I’ve noticed things changing, salads are big but mostly lettuce. But ok, maybe just an off day. Well 2 days ago we ordered 3 salads, one large spaghetti and cheesy bacon bread. My son ordered his salad with the cheese on the lettuce but other toppings on side because he was going to eat later. His salad had no cheese on it. I ordered tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and banana peppers. There were hardly any toppings and mostly all lettuce. Luckily I had tomatoes and onions at home to Doctor it up. My husbands salad also had very little topping and mostly lettuce. And while we’re on salads, who puts sliced tomatoes on a salad anyway? Take the time to dice or wedge. The spaghetti tasted like it was from the day before and had been in a warmer all that time. Very nasty. I called in. Talked to an owner. Not friendly, no I’m sorry, no «do u wanna stop back in for the missing item?». His excuse was«well all those items were on the side. She must have gotten confused». I’m assuming he was talking about the girl who put order together? Although he told me he put the tomatoes on when I inquired about the amount of tomatoes put on a salad. With all that said, we spent $ 27 and that will be the last they get from us. Very disappointed this restaurant is going downhill…

I have been coming to this place since it was still«Adornettos South.» I had homecoming and prom dinners here, and I make it a point to visit often while I’m in town. this is not a Michelin star restaurant, the interior hasn’t changed in 20 years, nor have the recipes. very simple food. but trust me if you are in the area you have got to give this place a try. pizza is thin crust and cut in strips. great sauce, and the little curly pepperoni are used. toppings do add up fast so a deluxe can end up costing $ 20, but if you stick to basics it’s very affordable. salads are basic but they have an outstanding house vinaigrette(shake or stir vigorously, oil and vinegar and spices separate). in my mind this is 5 stars, but objectively I would like to see a fresher salad mix, better tomatoes, and some improvements to the building. if you are in south Zanesville for whatever reason,(and reading this review, presumably looking for pizza) order right now!

I grew up in Zanesville and loved eating Tat’s. I moved away over a decade ago, but still come back a few times a year to visit family. Every time we come back to town, Tat’s is on our to do list. The pizzeria has a great crust, nice and thin. Toppings are plentiful. The salad greens and veggies are fresh. The garlic bread with cheese is also tasty. The wait staff are usually high school girls. Some of them are a bit slow on the service side, but they are friendly and accommodating. My one complaint is the bathroom. The bathroom always smells like sewer. If you are seated near the bathroom, you can also smell the nastiness. I haven’t used the bathroom in a while, so they may have made improvements. Let’s hope, at least.

Why do people like this place is beyond me. It’s old and small and dark and the wait staff is friendly but not really professional. The food was NOT good… I ordered a side salad that was outrageously priced and literally consisted of shredded iceberg lettuce topped with shredded mozzarella that was IT then they covered it in oil and vinegar! Gross!!!

Vibe and the pizza are both awful. The pizza dough tastes as if it has been fried. The vegetables taste about two weeks old.(Which may be a product of the sort of folks that come into this place.)

Good eats. Pizza was real good, nice fresh toppings with a quality cheese, all nicely balanced. Not in Zanesville that often, but will try again.

I just recently started going to Tat’s again, and I wonder why I seemed to pass it up all the time. The pizza is excellent. The dough is crispy on the bottom as it should be, the sauce is tangy like it should be, and it always has the right amount of toppings. The salads are very simple. Just lettuce, and a load of fresh mozzarella cheese on top. Very simple like I said, but surprisingly really good. Their breadsticks and marinara leave a bit to be desired. I can’t speak for their pasta dishes or sandwiches, but their pizza and salad is what I always come for every time. A very nice place to go for pizza in Zanesville.

By far some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. No trip back to Ohio is complete without a stop at Tat’s. Long, slender slices of pizza covered in fresh toppings on a thin crust with just the right amount of crunch. The«salads» are great too, but my GF doesn’t like me calling it a salad. It’s more like a couple handfuls of lettuce covered in fresh mozzarella.
