I’ve subscribed to several CSA seasons with D&A Farm and can recommend them wholeheartedly. Very friendly and helpful. We have never been disappointed with any box we’ve received. If you are committed to finding an organic option, they provide a valuable service. This is not for the bargain shopper, but I’ve considered it a worthwhile investment and have always felt I’ve received value for my money. My family of four did well with the half-bushel option.

While my wife is super-excited about this CSA thing, I thought I needed to bring a little balance to the table. While the project is nifty, and the idea is pretty cool, I have to question the overall value of the product. If you are a socially-conscious, shop-local, community advocate, then, yes, it is well worth the cost. If you prefer organic farming, then yes, it is worth it. If you are a bottom-line guy(like me), then it becomes questionable. Furthermore, it seems to me that week after week I’m getting the same stuff in my box with little variety. The stuff I’m getting is high-quality, but strikes me as monotonous. Not to mention, I’m kinda annoyed at having to go pick up the box every Wednesday. I do wish D & A success, though, and if organically grown fresh produce every week is up your alley, then give it a shot.

I was so excited about the idea of joining a CSA and to my surprise when I searched the internet I found D&A Farm which delivers to my little town of Forsyth, Ga. They deliver to several other locations too(a few in Atlanta, Macon, Griffin, Forsyth, and Zebulon) so check it out. They also bring produce to Morningside Farmers Market in Zebulon, Ga. They are a certified organic farm. If you join the CSA you have the option of the half-bushel or bushel. They offer summer, winter, and spring groups. I got my first delivery last week and I couldn’t be happier!
