My wife and I were looking for an old fashioned diner to eat a great burger and possibly some breakfast. We drove from Lakeland to Zephyrhills and could only find this location. We clearly did not know about Unilocal at this time or it could have saved us the gas and time. We went about 11 months or less ago I believe and we were not very impressed. The staff was very nice, but the accommodations were a bit run down. The waitress told us that the restaurant chain was going out of business and it would not be there much longer, which explains why other Unilocalers are now saying it is closed. I am not sure if there are other Clock restaurants still open elsewhere, so I want to review what we had. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with French fries and my wife ordered the country fried steak. The bacon cheeseburger was nothing special that I would expect from a diner hamburger, so I was a bit disappointed. There is just something about a great diner burger that I just can’t explain. It was not horrible, but not the best either. My wife’s country fried steak was extremely flat and incredibly crispy with little meat inside. The Cracker Barrel country fried steak would put this to shame in comparison to size and taste. I would give it a shot again if I was in the area or ran into another one down the road, but am not sure there would be much of a change. I wish the staff and owners luck in the future :(.

Only have had breakfast there n was with large groups. Can’t really screw up breakfast much it was typical. My problem was with servers. If your table is mixed men/women the old gal waitress will cater to men n us gal can grow moss on us!!! I asked 3 times for refill on coffee n still waiting. Matter fact last time I made request she got a little snippy! I won’t be back in group or alone.

Great customer service but the food was just okay. We ordered 1 sweet iced tea, 1 glass of chocolate milk, 1 slice(2 wedges) of french toast, 4 slices of bacon, 2 pancakes, and a side of home fries with onions. Our bill was $ 18.

Only ate here once. The place looked ok but after we ate we had to stop at McDonalds because the portions were so small. I don’t eat that much so it was fine for me. My husband had liver and onions and the liver was small and very thin. My husband said the liver was not that good. We will not be stopping here again.

Good breakfast but not a real nice place. I like the Paul Bunyan breakfast but that’s about it.

Stopped in here once after seeing a movie downtown. Open around the clock and it has a pretty usual IHOP-type menu. Definitely wasn’t a bad meal. I’d go back.

A favorite late night eatery. Open 24⁄7 and located in a convenient location. Try it out.

Went here on Xmas eve or Xmas day and it was one of the only places open. This is not a fancy place, just a very simple family restaurant/diner. We were suprised to see options that were only 5.95 whether they were breakfast options, or different chicken, pork, or pasta options. With it, you had choices of sides, and got a dessert. It was a really good deal, and it was tasty, and considering the price not bad at all. Again, not a fancy place, but a decent place for a stop for some food, and better than just a greasy fast food place.

I was surprised to come back the second time for New Years. It’s become a tradition. I bought the Prime Rib for $ 12 but I thought it would be bigger than what I got. Everything in this restaurant could be marked as a «so-so.» If you need a place to sit in and eat at 3 in the morning, then this should be the place for you.

If you are looking for truck-stop-hole-in-the-wall-2am-waffle-house-clean kind of place this it. Enjoy… I probably will not go back. I enjoy family owned restaurants more than I enjoy chains, but this place is bad. The service leaves much to be desired, food is not fresh. If it is late and you are hungry… try Taco Bell.

The Clock is a humble restaurant that knows it’s never going to be as flashy as Chili’s and wouldn’t know how to pronounce El Bulli, and that’s just fine with me. It’s one of those breakfast-all-day, what’ll-ya-have-hon joints where you won’t see the bottom of your coffee cup until you want to. Every town needs a 24-hour restaurant with wifi, and the Clock is that place for Zephyrhills. Never mind that the wifi was«lights are on but nobody’s home» when we visited; I’m sure a well-placed kick or reset button would solve that. I welcomed the surprise of learning that they also carry Crystal Light alongside tea(sweet and unsweet) and Coke fountain drinks. Now, I’m not saying I’d move to Zephyrhills just to eat here, but next time I’m in town I can be confident that there’s one place I can relax and let some of the road dust settle while I blog about it.
