Food was fantastic, our sever Holly was great with recommending delicious dishes and was more than hospitable with suggestions since we are new to the area! Will definitely be back! Margaritas are a winner!

I’m dumbfounded how this place exists and that locals actually pay to eat this garbage. I won’t bore you so here are my top 5 reasons this place was a horrible choice: #1.The cheese dip was served lukewarm and tasted like rancid cheddar. #2. I saw online they offer 2 for $ 5 margaritas and ordered up a pair– they came rimmed in table salt(yes, table salt.) and tasted like someone forgot to put tequila in them. I felt sick after drinking a whole mug of sour mix and left my second one on the table.#3. I ordered 6 beef tacos, which came out dripping in grease, they were so awful I ate the meat out of the tacos with a fork and called it a day. #4. Our server seemed wayyy to annoyed by being ay work. I waited tables for 5 years and not only do I tip 30% standard, but I am probably the easiest person to wait on. Please don’t slam my margarita down in front of me, thanks. Reason #5, why I really hated this place was that I felt nauseous the moment I left. For God’s sake, save yourself the money and go LITERALLYANYWHEREELSE.

Apparently, having the«best Mexican food in town» isn’t saying much. There is nothing authentic about it. It’s hard to make a bad margarita… they succeeded. May as well have put a bottle of sweet — sour mix on the table and put some salt on it on the bottle neck rim. I must say, the chips and salsa were very good. I had the soft tacos with shredded beef filling: mediocre. Not even any Pico de gallo or cilantro. And their overlap with the runny beans made them impossible to pick up, had to resort to knife and fork. A felony in Mexico.

Great tasting Mexican food, Terrible service … My wife and I just had Dinner there. Not happy 5 de Mayo. Our server got everything wrong!!! and she wrote it down! Really bad experience. In my opinion not worth going back there. In their defence, the food was prepared with care, nice and hot, great taste, but the place is small, looks run down, not very clean, and again terrible service.

Overall, this is one of the better restaurants in town. We lived near downtown Zephyrhills for several years and there are not a lot of choices in that part of town. There are several restaurants that I hated, only one that I really loved and a couple that I liked. Los Chicos fits into the«I like it» category. Immediately you will notice that the service is great. They are very friendly. Of course drinking a pitcher of their margaritas will make you love anyone! The food comes out fast but can be hit or miss. Somethings are fantastic, some things are not, but nothing is bad. I recommend a burrito over the tacos. The prices are very reasonable.

Very good food. I stuffed myself. I didn’t really enjoy the queso, but the food came out fast and it was amazing. I will be returning to dine at this amazing place.

Best Mexican food in Zephyrhills. Great service always. Personal favorite is the enchiladas verdes. I often swing by for to-go chips and salsa, it’s delicious!

We’ve had Mexican cuisine all over the US and this doesn’t even come close to good. The best thing we had was the salsa. My husband ordered the steak fajitas, took a bite and asked me what I thought. I took a piece of the steak and spit it out. It had a nasty sweet taste like spoiled. My chicken fajitas looked better than they tasted — the peppers and onions had a nice sear and they were just nearing tender without being soft, but there was little seasoning and the flavor was blah. We spotted the waiter several times over the course of 15 minutes and tried to get his attention to send the beef back, order a new entrée, and get refills on our tea, but never succeeded. We ended up splitting my fajitas and waited about 10 additional minutes for the check. To give them credit, the waiter was pleasant when we told him about the beef and changed our bill with no problem and the salsa was tasty. For all you folks who think this is good, authentic Mexican food, you’re in for a real treat when you find some.

Love the look of the place, it is unassuming. Inside the décor is vintage and cool. The food was great, the service was sufficient. I never ran out of real sweet tea, and the bill did not put a dent in my wallet. All in all, it could only have been topped off with a margarita or cervesa, which they do not serve. Nice place all around

Pleasantly surprised! The outside is deceiving. Had enchilada and chile relleano. Hubbie had a burrito. If you want extra chips and salsa, be prepared to pay for extra. The food wasn’t bad. It wasn’t spectacular either.

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant in the entire area of Zephyrhills or Dade City! The food is authentic Mexican cuisine, cooked fresh to order, with good portion sizes. I could make a meal out of just the refried beans and rice because they’re soooo good! If you get a chance, you’ve got to give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Los Chico was a great place to eat, we used to come here all the time but the last couple months something has been off with the food, it’s not the same, we haven’t seen the owner lately so we don’t know if he sold out or what, the original servers are good but a few of them lack in the service area, I hope it gets back to the way it was and dust a few dust bunnies from the torn décor and gets back to the great Mexican restaurant we loved so much till then I’ll give 2 stars, I’m sorry

Super authentic Mexican food! Formerly ponchos villa owners now we are the lucky visitors of Los Chicos. Best fajitas and burrito ranchero you will ever put in your mouth!!! This is a must try for anyone that loves Mexican.

Being from California where the best Mexican food lives, I enjoyed Los Chicos. The look and music was spot on. The chips and salsa were on point and I asked for a couple jalapeños to be fried and they knew what I talking about.

We are snowbirds and have been coming to Zephyrhills for 13 years. I never knew about this place until my husband told me a couple people told him about it. This is one of those same resturants that generally only locals know about it. We went there on a Monday evening and we were very happy we did. The salsa and chips were good and we were very satisfied with our meals. We will come here again. Great atmosphere and good prices. I would recommend this place to others.

Formerly El Panchos Villa, Los Chicos is by far the best Mexican food you will find in Zephyrhills. It is the definition of a «hole in the wall» restaurant. It is located behind Raymond B. Stewart Middle School on 11th Ave. You can choose between sitting inside or on the screened patio. The patio is great in the fall when a nice breeze might come through and it’s not too unbearably humid outside. Your meal begins with a bowl of fresh salsa and crunchy tortilla chips. My favorite dish is the chimichanga dinner. It comes with rice and refried beans as your sides. If I’m trying to eat healthy, I go with the chicken fajita meat. They will serve it without any veggies or tortillas if you request it. I recommend the 2 for $ 5 margaritas as well! Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything you pick at Los Chicos. I have never had a bad meal here! I will say the one down side is there are no free refills on drinks; they serve soda in cans. Do yourself a favor and try out Los Chicos. The service is impeccable and the food is worth the trip.

I’m starting to think Zephyrhills is the best place to build foodie havens: low rent, few chains, and plenty of parking. Los Chicos certainly deserves a spot on any foodie’s Zephyrhills list. Their nopales con huevo lunch is under $ 7, vegetarian(I’m not asking how the beans and rice were cooked), and delicious. And there are outlets at many booths for you to recharge your Unilocaling devices. We had no trouble finding parking, even shortly after noon on a Sunday, and the lunch specials run on the weekend as well. There were five different hot sauces to choose from, though I preferred the cilantro-rich fresh salsa brought to the table when we arrived. Since Stephanie D. mentioned roughly how much seating there is, I counted. I saw 9 booths and 5 tables. Definitely.
