So sad to hear that they are selling. Great place and great owners. Great time to get their last. We just stocked up. My understanding is November 2015 will be the end. Love their port wine. If you are in the area and have the time go do a tasting. Very good wines.

We have been making it a point to stop at Wineglass Cellars every time we come to Yakima for years. Love this place. The winemaker really knows what he’s doing and we always come away with at least a case of our favorite, Capizimo. Highly recommended.

Great place! One of the first places I ever visited in Yakima. Very friendly staff and very tasty wines. Their Cab Franc is always a must buy for me.

We made our way through Wineglass Cellars just before Zilliah closes for the season. We were so glad we stopped. Friendly and personal service with great wine. The Port was to die for. Definitely a stop we will be making again in the future.

I’ll take two bottles of Syrah and a babysitter! Wineglass was our third stop on a rapid fire wine tasting tour in Zillah. It was rapid fire because you never know how long your 9 month old and 2 year old will hold out. The moment we arrived, the owner asked to hold the baby; not the red flag kind of «can I hold your kid.» We talked kids, life, and tattoos. Very comfortable. The wine was great and the owners were fantastic. My wife and I walked out of there with three bottles and the feeling like Wineglass would forever be a stop along our wine tour way! Thank you!

Went here as part of spring barrel 2013, and was attracted to this place because it sounded pretty small and that it was owned by a couple who just loved to make wine. The strange thing I noticed with most of the wineries in this area was that many of them didn’t grow their own grapes, but if you make good wine I guess it doesn’t matter. I liked their wine here, but I did think it was a bit overpriced(the other thing I’ve noticed with places that buy grapes). If they weren’t having specials for spring barrel I probably wouldn’t have bought anything. The tasting room could probably use a bit of an update, since it felt very old and not in a good way. My only other criticism was with the questions we asked while in the tasting room. We were being helped by someone who was a volunteer for the weekend since spring barrel gets so busy, which is fine she was very friendly. However when we asked questions it was obvious she was going to a person sitting close to the counter to relay those questions(maybe to one of the more experienced servers or owner?) who wasn’t helping anyone and that person would answer them to her but showed no interest in actually coming to us to talk about the wine. I thought this was poor service on their part, if someone is interested in learning more about their wine and there is someone there with the answers who isn’t busy they should be talking to the customer.

We were here for the Red Wine & Chocolate weekend. The tasting room felt a little crowded and it was really warm in there(and it’s only Feb). It was hard to enjoy tasting the wine while I was sweating. The wine was pretty good, but overpriced in my opinion. We ended up buying a red blend and a syrah(per my husband’s request). The most redeeming factor was the sweet girl who served us. She was nice and washed out our glasses for us at the end(the RWC event requires you to bring your own glass).

Good Port and good prices. The one thing to take away from this winery is a nice quality product with really good pricing. The wines to go after here would be their Syarh and Port, both their reserve, but both worth paying a little extra for. If you’re looking to take advantage of prices they did have good case prices on their Cab. Another good reason to head up the gravel road here is Tanjuli winery just across the road, both worth tasting.

I really enjoyed this place. There was no charge for the regular tastings and the reserves were pretty cheap. Most of the wines were really good and the folks that work there were a lot of fun and gave us a lot of good insight on wine making, finishing and many of the locals around. I really liked the Zinfandel and got a great education why many of us think its a clear pink wine. It was interesting to find out how this came around and how a real Zinfandel is a nice dark red. :) I was very pleased and walked out with a few bottles as did pretty much everyone.

Very friendly and knowledgeable winemakers. Husband & I loved that we stumbled upon this winery. Their wine was very tasty and we walked away with 2 bottles. The husband and wife winemakers were laidback and welcomed you as if you were old friends they’ve known for years.

Wineglass Cellar is a charming, cozy tasting room /gift shop. We ended up spending a lot of time here. The tasting was complimentary, and we found ourselves chatting over many topics, as the two women working behind the counter were so conversational and pleasant to talk to. The wines were all very tasty…6 tastings total. The Fran’s wine was a Rose’ with a cool, light strawberry essence. The Cabernet Franc was a perfect balance of light berry and pepper. And then there was the Capizimo… Cab Sauv/Merlot/Sangiovese/Malbec/Cab Franc. I bought this before and bought it again this time. I also bought some of the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon which was so incredibly smooth with a slight toasty/smokiness about it, and on sale for Labor Day weekend for $ 18.50 a bottle.

This was our first stop on our self-guided winery tour in Yakima. We were initially drawn in by the $ 10 ribs and red wine deal, but ended up finding our way into the tasting room. This tasting room was by far one of the most crowded. While I enjoyed their wines and the bar staff was very helpful, I didn’t love any one wine in particular to purchase it. They do have a very nice patio out back from the tasting room though and the views from there are very nice.

Wineglass Cellars was one of those tasting rooms that we walked into and it was crowded. Good for the room, bad for me. The people tasting reminded me of drunk frat boys with their girlfriends/wives 10 years post college. They were drunk and obnoxious and taking up the whole counter, no one wanted to move over a little so we could get in. Finally they did and continued to act like asses; this put a bad taste in my mouth. Their wines weren’t bad, but I couldn’t enjoy them with the drunks in the room. Their Sangiovese was lighter red which I seemed to have been enjoying this weekend and it had a nice berry aroma. The Cabernet Franc and had a hint of blueberries on the tongue even though. The last wine I tried before needed to get out of there was the Capizimo which is a nice blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts Cab Franc, Malbec and Syrah, it was nice but I didn’t enjoy it due to the drunks. While taking deep breaths so I didn’t smack anyone I toured their tasting room and Wineglass Cellars your ribbons on the wall make it look like Tacky Onassis decorated the place, take them down or frame them, having them hang on the wall makes it look cluttered and messy.
