I work in a shop where Unilocal plays a big role and I see how Unilocal influences a company so it takes a lot for me to actually write a bad review. We went to Applebee’s in Zion and we were seated at 8 p.m. Our waiters name was Matt and I must say he really let us down this evening; He started off great by joking with us and talking about his job but after an hour of waiting for our food we asked him when the food would be out and his answer was a simple chuckle and he said«I really don’t know, so I don’t know what you guys wanna do…» I cut him off and told him we’ll wait. 20 minutes later our food came out and both orders were wrong. We continued to eat the food we were served because we were not going to wait another hour for the correct meals; we even told the waiter that our food was wrong and all he did was just shrug and say«I’m really sorry guys.» I work in customer service and I understand that things can go wrong and some people may have to wait longer than others, but the way that our waiter responded to us and how he only checked on us twice throughout our wait was just not the way one should ever respond to customers. I asked to speak to the manager and when I told her everything that had happened she looked at me as though I was just a lying teenager who was looking for a free meal. She told me that she didn’t have anyone waiting for more than twenty minutes even though we waited a good hour for our food. She proceeded to give me credit for $ 25 for my next visit, and that we had to pay for our meal that evening. When we got our bill there was an extra beverage added on that we did not order, the manager took care of it for us but did not apologize for all of the trouble we went through this evening. But on the bright side there was one bus-girl named Kelly who was fantastic and she took care of all our plates and garbage as well as others without even being asked.

The food there is very good. The menu is kind of short on heart healthy foods but what they do have is delicious. Foods are not overpriced. The employees are very helpful.

Definitely not a happy customer. Let’s start off with the fact that we needed to wait for a table when we walked in, keep in mind there were about 5 tables total that were occupied. Next we didn’t see our waiter for quite a bit because he was trying to fix a problem with another table(cool, fine not a big deal). When he came over we were ready with everything to order. We had finished our appetizer and we were still waiting on water. This guy was no where to be found. I had ordered the burger quesadilla with no bacon. After waiting 30min for our meal that went to the WRONG table, there was bacon on my meal. All the waiters were at the front door just hanging out not paying attention to customers. My date had finished his meal before mine was even put on the griller. Poor service.

Yet again Applebee’s disappoints. My boss decided to treat us to lunch here and picked up a carryout order. My coworker and I ordered the Thai Shrimp Salads. On both of our salads the shrimp were not cooked properly. They were still translucent… holy food poisoning Batman! To add insult to injury for $ 12 you get a small salad barely bigger than a side salad, made with cheap iceberg lettuce mix and the only thing to make it premium was a few ok size shrimp, and a few Edamame and sliced almonds. They even cheated me on the cilantro. *sigh* After I microwaved my shrimp to hopefully(fingers crossed) avoid food poisoning, the flavor wasn’t bad even though it was unexpectedly super spicy but still I was left unsatisfied with my experience even if it was free. To top it all off, I tried to fill out the contact form on the Applebee’s website to inform them of the issues I had and it kept erroring out and would not submit… Yup, par for the course Applebee’s! Won’t waste my time on them again and certainly not my money.

While I am not a customer of Applebee’s, I have to give 5 stars for what the Zion Applebee’s did for their employee AnthonyYoung. Many know that Anthony was tragically and unexpectedly taken from his loved ones on October 10th, 2015. Those who have dined here in the past surely were greeted by Anthony with his bright friendly smile playing his role as host, which I’ve heard he did well. On October 13th, 2015 Applebee’s here in Zion where Anthony worked as a host, opened their doors to his loved ones, his family and friends… allowing them to host a Celebration of Life for Anthony. I have also heard that Applebee’s intends to hold a special night where a certain percentage of their profits will be given to Anthony’s family. I so love that Applebee’s cares enough about their employees to do such a thing. Too many businesses anymore do not care enough about their employees to do anything at all and I am proud of Applebee’s for stepping up to the plate and showing that they truly do care about their employees. Kudos to you, Applebee’s in Zion!!!

I love this place. The 55 cent wings in Tuesday and Thursday are the best. Way better then B-buds. The only bad thing I would say is that sometimes it takes forever to get your food and drinks. I guess it just depends when you go in. The all day brunch burger is amazing also. Pretty much anything I have eaten here is great. This is a weekly stop for my family.

None of the reviews here are from 2015. This Applebee’s is not good at all. Not happy the last 3 times we went and we won’t go back again. Last time we went for the half price apps. Only about 4 of the appetizers are available on the half price menu. The drink selection was almost non existant. Applebee’s in Zion used to have good drinks and a wonderful selection. None of the drinks we used to get were available any more. My husband ordered a martini and it was hot. He tried to get a beer but believe it or not the waitress was just to dumb to understand. All the beer on the menu said«lite beer» so he asked if they had any that wasn’t lite. She kept trying to give him a lager or dark beer. No matter how hard we tried we could not get her to understand we were not talking about the color of the beer. It was so frustrating. It was almist like an Abbott and Costello routine. Anyway, we had a good time with our friends but Applebee’s in Zion is over. Don’t waist your time or money. The one in Kenosha is excellent!

Visited this Applebees on a Saturday afternoon for dinner and based on the mixed reviews we decided to give it a shot and also it being just about the only chain casual sit down restaurant in Zion that we were familiar with. First off the service, we were quickly seated upon entering and our waitress quickly took our order. She quickly brought us our sweet teas and queso blanco appetizer. She made frequent rounds to assure we were taken care of, then after quickly brought us our entrees. Quick, friendly and accurate service and I applaud the Zion Applebee’s for it! Secondly the food, we ordered as mentioned before the queso blanco appetizer which was spicy and flavorful, not bad Applebees! Then after, I ordered the grilled Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp and it was well grilled and very moist filled with flavor fresh from the grill! Paired with loaded potatoes, my heart was content! OVERALL: GREATFOODANDSERVICE, IFYOURUNFAMILIARWITHTHEAREAANDDINEDATANAPPLEBEESINTHEPAST, I HIGHLYRECOMMENDYOUTRYTHISZIONLOCATION!

Our server Charles was awesome. Wings were hot and fresh as were the fries. We love our local Applebee’s and treat it as our go-to for most family dinner gatherings. The recent refurb of the restaurant has a great local flair.

We went to this Applebee’s yesterday for lunch. We arrived at 2pm and there were not many customers in the restaurant. We waited for a while for the server to come to our table, at which time she said she would only take drink orders, and then food order. We ordered soup and salad. It took us 1 hour to get soup and salad. Soup was lukewarm, so ti must have been sitting for some time. Salad was okay, but server brought bread halfway through our meal. Service was terrible. Food mediocre.

This place is probably the only decent chain restaurant in Zion. The food is decent, I mean you can’t really expect anymore from an Applebee’s. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, especially in making sure all food was vegetarian. If you’re having a birthday this place seems like the place to be as we witnessed 4 birthday celebrations in a matter of one hour.

Applbee’s has friendly service, competitive prices, a nice atmosphere, and is my favorite of the genre of «Good Time Eateries.» My wife, 4 kids, and I go to this Applebee’s often. The service is friendly and always caters to our large family. With the 2 for $ 20 special, Applebee’s is an affordable option, as well. You are able to get 2 entrees plus a choice of appetizer for $ 20.00. This is a great deal. Likewise, they also have lunch specials from $ 6.50-$ 8.00, so this place is not just for dinner. Applebee’s also has a great children’s menu, and is accomodating for substitutions/customization of your order – A huge plus for picky eaters. Applebee’s is clean. Restrooms are clean. Not sure why nailing a rusty trombone or some old leather boxing gloves to the wall is décor, but the atmosphere is still warm and inviting. Applebees is a good value for the money and a clean, friendly place to eat.

Good food and some good deals. Have occasionally waited a bit more than we like fore service but generally they are on the ball which is why we continue to go.

Pretty typical chain restaurant. The food is good, not great, though decent enough. I recommend the Bourbon Street steak if you’re a meat eater. The service can be a bit slow, but generally friendly.

Warning– if you want to have a relatively serene dinner or conversation with your meal, please go somewhere else. I have been to this Applebee’s several times and each time there have been children running around like escaped lunatics. Of course the parents are oblivious. I will NEVER spend another dime in this establishment– it’s just not my sort of place.
