This is a very beautiful trail running through Zionsville. It is quiet and peaceful and a nice area to exercise or take a leisurely walk with your pet. Lovely scenery & safe environment. The best part is that it is far less crowded than the Monan Trail!

Ever need one of those evenings where you just need to walk it off? Gather your thoughts? Or how about just enjoy some time with loved ones or Bike as far as you can? This trail runs the heart of Zionsville and the vision is to connect this trail with all others. PS this one runs by the local village Zionsville Starbucks. This multi-use trail is a major component of the towns pathway system. The current total length of the trail is 3.5 miles. A Land & Water Conservation Fund Grant of $ 59,700 contributed to the development of the Rail Trail. The trail begins at Nancy Burton Memorial Park(5A), which was donated to the Parks Department in 1991 by Lee Burton, in memory of his wife. In honor of this donation, the southern portion of the Rail Trail from Eagle Creek to Oak Street has been designated the Nancy Burton Corridor of the Rail Trail. Near the southern terminus at Eagle Creek, a switchback down, and a trail along the creek, provide a connection to Starkey Park. Heading north, the Rail Trail continues beyond Mulberry Street, where a tunnel provides safe passage under the street. The section of trail that continues north to County Road 875 East is known as the Dave Brown Corridor of the Rail Trail(5B).
