I want to 5-star the crap out of this place based on the guy manning the shop alone. He’s hilarious. He really is and he has a great British English accent for a Finn to boot. This is Hipster paradise. All kinds of wacky stuff. My baby and I love going here. The hipsters stare at us with appropriate hipster disdain because hipsters don’t have babies, right? Wrong, bitches! Here I am. Living proof. All that aside, you really ought to leave your pram outside, strap on the kid if you have one, grab a basket and dig dig dig your way through this winding, tiny place made tinier by the sheer volume of awesome within. The shop is super eclectic — I’ve gotten everything from expensive baby blankets(brand new and super cheap) to vintage boots for 3euro, to jeans to a lamp shade. Dolls, books, macramé, dishes, typewriters, etc are all items that I’ve not been surprised to see on the shelves. The cost to rent a display area is very cheap(I think 50e for two weeks) and well worth it for the location in Kamppi. They have somehow managed to provide two small changing areas, too. This means you can try things on before you buy, eliminating all that buyer’s remorse one typically suffers from after a long day of second-hand shopping. Most important, though, is the people who sell here. There is great stuff for great prices. This is the most«motivated to sell» group of people I’ve encountered(not in person but via their sale items and corresponding prices). Even though I don’t always leave with something, this is my new favorite. Only thing lacking is children’s clothes and toys. That’s ok — I spend enough money on my little bugger already.
