Went for a brunch buffet. Nice atmosphere and nice interior, but the food was nothing special. This was somewhat compensated by cheap sparkling wine, sold per glass.

12 euro bottles of sparkling wine from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays mean you can usually find me here drunk by 5:30. Fortunately it is stumbling distance from home… The guys behind the counter are always friendly, the interior is warm and cozy on the bar/café side, and their burgers are only 10 euros on Mondays. Lunch is standard Finnish salad/soup/etc for around 10 euros as well. All-around, you really can’t beat the value and the restaurant side is just as sweet as the café/bar side. Food is standard and yummy. The staff is really nice and have always been patient when my Finnish fails me and I have a million questions for them in English :) In warm weather(or bundled up on cold days), the sidewalk terrace is the perfect place for lunch or sparkling wine with friends. Highly recommended!

Ah, one of the places in Helsinki that does brunch right. Primula is perfection for the weekend brunch crowd. While I think the price is a little steep compared to other spots, the selection and quality of food makes up for it. There is so much to try that you really have to swallow your pride and expand your stomach just to get it all in. They have a particularly great selection of cold salads(such as the grain salad, pasta salad, and potato salad) as well as baked goods and hearty meat dishes. This is the best of New Nordic cuisine, all at your fingertips for a pretty fair price. It can get very very crowded, and so some dishes may run out very quickly, but the staff does well at making sure to keep the food moving. Get a table outside in the summer if you can manage — that area of the city is so lovely and quiet on a sunny morning. I adore Primula and it was so good to see that proper brunch has come to Helsinki after all these years.

What could be better than sleeping in on the weekend and then go to a fine café around noon and have a long brunch with friends? Why not go for brunch Primula in Punavuori this weekend? Primula is a bakery and restaurant and offers weekend brunch on Saturdays from 11.00 to 14.00 and Sundays from 10.00 to 14.00. For 16 €(18 € if you like a glass of sparkling wine with it) you can choose from a nice selection of cold and warm food. Especially for friends of salty brunch this is a good place to go. But of course you can also find some sweet dessert.

This place suffers from a case of deceptive looks. It gives the impression of a classy Italian restaurant when in reality the food and service are most definitely average. If only the prices matched this.
