Amazing and best burgers in Helsinki! Very simple dishes. Nice atmosphere in a rounded shape interior, small place and could be crowded in a lunch time so no worries if you arrive later midday or afternoon. Sad thing that this place is closed so early. Tested few times and quality is everytime constant.

I enjoy a good laugh and thus, another reviewer’s low marks being partially related to the Finnish staff SPEAKINGFINNISH gave me just the boost of humor I need at 5 a.m. when I can’t sleep. When one is visiting another country and one bitches because someone in that country won’t speak ones language, one sounds foolish and entitled. I also don’t believe for a hot second that they would drop a burger on the floor and serve it. Finland has one of the strictest restaurant and food handling codes and I sincerely doubt that with their open-kitchen situation they’d risk it. I think that’s a lie. So now we have an entitled liar giving scathing reviews. Surprise! All that aside, I’m a vegetarian and I still give 5 stars to Roslund. My husband loves high-quality meat(that sounds all kinds of open to interpretation). These guys are meat experts(woot!) so I spend a bit of time there inquiring about various types of meat(I am beginning to enjoy this). Just tell them what you plan to do with the meat(haha), how much you’re looking to spend on the meat(ahem), and they’ll give you the perfect cut, at the right price point(please don’t be cheap when it comes to meat), and provide tips and pointers on prep and cooking. They’re always spot-on, according to Meat Man. Good people, great meat selection, best burgers in Helsinki(I think I heard that from the meat-eater in the house), and a great place to take visitors from out of town for huge juicy burgers. And all this from someone who won’t touch dead meat. Damn. They must be good. **Note to foreigners, tourists, and/or non-native speakers residing in a Finnish-speaking country(better known as Finland): They’re Finnish(surprise!). They speak mostly Finnish. Most Finns speak English well. These guys and gals are the same but it’s touch and go. Just like in the US. Where most people speak just one language: English. So when you write a review about how wonderful Roslund is, I suggest you give props to people who have taken the time to learn to speak to you in YOUR native tongue.

Ate at the little outdoor popup. Menu had only three options so I went for the Rosburger(13 €). It was typical of a popup shop — they call your number and you go run for it. Nothing fancy. The guys working there were friendly. The burger was delicious. It was huge so I ditched the top bun, but even then, tasty. The salad on the side was nothing to write home about but a nice addition. I really liked having coleslaw inside the burger, to keep it from being too dry. Overall, a good experience. I would go back again.

When I saw this meat shop and restaurant in the market hall it felt as if this would be the place to find a good burger in Helsinki. How can one go wrong when they reportedly sell some of the better beat in town and they have nice sign stating that the burgers are prepared medium rare or medium and you have to specifically ask for well done and they do not recommend it. Sounds like my type of place :-) We opted for one double cheese burger and a single Roslund burger with a side of fries and a side of salad. The burgers are not cheap, a single burger is € 13, double € 17 and the sides are € 3 each. We ordered, specified medium rare and got a little number sign and they said they would call the number when it is done. We sat down upstairs, very nice seating area with views towards the water. After a while I noticed they were calling lots of stuff in Finnish from downstairs, we ordered in English and my estimate would be that most of the guests were also not Finnish and despite that the staff refused to call the numbers in English. Just louder and louder in Finnish. Luckily I had a low number so I actually recalled what it was in Finnish but otherwise it would have been endless running up and down the stairs to check what they actually were calling. After a long wait the burgers finally came. They really looked nice and I for a while thought they would be worth the price but what a disappointment. The burger was totally flavorless, no spices at all, meat also tasted like nothing. Despite us ordering medium rare and them stating they do no do well done both burgers were well done. Since we waited 30 minutes already we just did not have the energy to send the, back. A friend who showed a bit later also got his burger well done(had not specified anything) and he had also seen the chef(open kitchen) drop a burger on the floor and take it up and send out to be served. Not impressive at all. The side salad was uninspiring, actually only a green salad so nothing special at all. The fries were nicely crispy but so much salt on them so not possible to eat. The space is nice but will not go here again, as the food is bad, service slow and prices high. It if would have been a bit cheaper it could have deserved a 2 star rating but considering the price this is just way too bad.

Didn’t eat many burgers while we were in Finland so not sure if they’re generally good or not, but this place could hold it’s own back in America, so thumbs up. After ordering the cook hand-formed the burger and threw it on the grill. It was very baseball shaped and was on the grill for awhile, so it had us worried that it would either be way overcooked all the way through, or too cooked on the outside and raw in the middle. Luckily neither was the case and it was a perfect medium rare burger. It’s a little unwieldy to eat since the burger sits so high, but it was delicious. Got a side of fries and they were fantastic also. Perfectly crispy and salty. So yeah, if you’re at the market and looking for decent food, this place will surely fit that bill.

Yet again this place delivered! The selection of grilled food is really good and the quality is unbeatable. Simply the best in town.

Nice seating upstairs, and a super nice free bathroom in the basement. Ate a 13 euro hamburger, which was pretty gourmet but definitely not worth the price.(Living in TX one can get a pretty outstanding hamburger for $ 20!) But if your kids are hungry and won’t eat fish, this might be a good option. People are nice and of course speak perfect English.
