I’m British. So we tend to think we know a fair bit about a good Indian. At least to my tastes I haven’t found an Indian in Helsinki and said«Wow, this amazing!». I’ve had a couple of ok Nepalese, but nothing to write home about. So, whilst Samrat wasn’t brilliant, it certainly wasn’t bad. I’d go as far as to say its the best I’ve had here so far. We had Onion Bahji to start(this was off-menu, so good service they made it anyway), followed by Beef Vindaloo. It was pretty spicy which was a positive seeing as most eastern cuisine tends to be mild in Finland comparatively. All in all. A nice evening.

Lovely, filling and the waiter was accommodating. Perfect for a quick lunch as the food comes out quickly, although you will be there a while eating the delicious big portion they serve.

Good ambiance. Decent service. Food was OK. not great. Almost 6 euros and I only got 1 samosa :( Quite pricey Requested the waiter to ask if they can make me an Aloo paratha, since it was not on the menu, quick answer was no without any effort

I would say this is the best Indian restaurant in Helsinki. The prices are bit expensive in comparison with the other Indian restaurants but the quality and the taste of the food served is excellent. The ambience of the restaurant is good and gives the india touch to it.
