Grand Hotel de la Paix

I recently stayed at this hotel in Lyon with my cousin and my friend. We had a triple room with 3 beds. The room was very spacious and clean. We were all very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too. We had a cute little balcony looking over the street in front of our hotel, which we loved. It’s in the best area with subway stations so close and many, many places to eat and shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Très bon hôtel en rapport qualité/​prix, à privilégier pour un petit séjour tranquilou sur Lyon !
On aime :
— la localisation, sur la presqu’île, c’est central, en bas de l’hotel vous avez les rues touristiques avec tous les restaurants possibles,
— le lit kingsize, même pour la chambre individuelle classique,
— le service sobre et efficace,
— le petit-​dèj complet,
— le Wifi qui né rame pas (et ça, c’est pas dans tous les hôtels que le Wifi fonctionne correctement),
— le prix en basse saison et surtout une semaine avant lorsqu’ils baissent le prix pour combler toutes les chambres.
On aime moins :
— pas grand chose en fait !
Je n’y ai passé qu’une seule nuit, mais dès que je reviens sur Lyon, c’est cet hôtel que je regarderai en premier, ça c’est sûr !

I stayed at this hotel for nine nights in quite the heat wave. I wanted to stay in the Presqu’île area and GHP couldn’t be better situated. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My French is not the greatest and they were very gracious. I was shocked at the size of the room, it was huge and felt more like an apartment. My balcony overlooked the front of the hotel, and I think most others may not like this. I was traveling solo, so it felt less isolating. I just closed my windows when I wanted to sleep and it was silent, just had to use fan as no air-​conditioning. I paid 79 euro per night, which was excellent value. I’d stay here again any time. I think I’d prefer Lyon in the fall, as most of the cultural activities are in full swing, not so much in July. Good hotel.

Ein im (Einkaufs-)Zentrum gelegens kleines Stadthotel. Das Zimmer war schön, das Bad sauber. Frühstück ebenfalls in Ordnung und jeden Tag gab es noch für Jeden ein Lunch-​Packet (Getränk, Sandwich und Chips). Personal immer freundlich. Lyon ist ein Besuch wert!
The small hotel is placed in the City-​Centre of Lyon. The Room was nice, and the bath was clean. Breakfast also okay and everyday we got a lunch-​package with a drink, a sandwich and chips. Die staff was always friedly. Lyon is well worth a visit!

Né me demandez pas pourquoi, ni comment j’ai fini à l’hôtel de la Paix, je né parlerai qu’en présence de mon Avocat !
Ceci étant j’ai bel et bien passé une nuit là bas, et je vais vous donner mon impression. La situation est parfaite, en plein coeur de la presqu’île, pour ceux qui veulent profiter un max de la ville, c’est génial.
L’accueil et la reception, sont de qualité, un brin futuriste, c’est plutôt réussi.
La Chambre est assez grande, refaite il y a peu, par contre comme bon nombre d’établissement qui abolissent les moquettes (ce qui est bien) pâtissent du même problème…l’acoustique et l’isolation médiocre ! Un regard de 2 cm sous la porte, vous offre une oreille sur le palier, tout sauf, calme.
La salle de bain, n’ayant pas subit le même lifting, était propre mais pas au gout du jour (mais j’ai vu pire)
En résumé, un bon plan pour ceux qui dorment comme des sonneurs, ceux qui recherchent le calme ou l’intimité, demandez une chambre en bout de couloir, ou investissez dans des boules Quies ;)

Great folks: friendly, professional, welcoming. After a long day, it was wonderful to have Sébastien at the reception. He’s very helpful, courteous, and simply nice and cordial. Wifi works great on my iPhone. Ran into other staff and each and everyone was very courteous. Sébastien went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Very thoughtful person. The rooms were clean, though mine was a little on the small side: between the beds and the wall, there was little space to walk by, and I’m not a very big person! The shower is also small, so if you’re a big person, you may not fit. My colleague had a bigger room (for two), and everything was fine: space, bathroom size (though the bathtub was equipped with a handheld «shower head» and if you don’t know that you need to sit down in the tub to «shower», you’ll have water everywhere!)
The hotel offers its guests a welcoming drink, box lunch at any time of the day, and breakfast. The room I had was a single and it was perfect for me, big enough, clean, and so was the bathroom. Very close to les terreaux, musée des beaux arts, Le vieux Lyon. I will definitely come back and stay at this hotel!

Grand Hotel de la Paix est situé sur la presqu’île en plein cœur de Lyon. Son emplacement idéal fait de lui un des meilleurs hôtels de la ville.
C’est un établissement 3 étoiles qui propose à ses visiteurs une quarantaine de chambres.
L’accueil est très agréable et souriant et le service de grande qualité.
Il y a le wifi partout dans l’hôtel. Ça c’est cool, sinon les prix vont de 90 € à 116 €. Un peu cher…
