Café Louise

We’re staying nearby, our first night in Paris, fresh off the plane. We read about Café de Flore and were on our way to it, but there was a crowd there at about 7PM. So, we stopped by Café Louise, uncrowded, owner and waitress friendly. Checked the menu, we had a seat and excellent service started. My wife had the French onion soup — delicious, best she’s had, not too cheesy, or bread-​y. Good soup. I had the smoked salmon salad, fresh, excellent, and croque monsieur, also good. 2 glasses of French wine, recommended by host, very good. All in all, an great pop-​in, 63 Euro. Could have stayed longer, but a beautiful Paris evening was ahead of us. Go with confidence.

The food was fantastic. Our server, Caisse was outstanding! We were typical American tourist and we’re treated with wonderful French hospitality.

Absolutely amazing!!! We have been in Paris for 4 days and have eaten here twice. Staff interaction has been superb. We don’t speak any French and they have been extremely helpful with any questions we had with patience. Menus are in French with an English translation under each item. Food is unparalleled & price is fair for the quality of the food and level of service. Highly recommend this establishment!!! Can not say enough good things. They also have live music some nights and their hours at very early to very late.

We came across This lil place late at Night. We wanted to try escargot so my husband and I order six, I’m not a fan of escargot but you’re in Paris so it might as well try it. I ordered onion soup it was delicious !! So Good I wish I had ordered another one lol cute spot to dine or just sip wine outside on their patio…

You´re going to Café Louise because of the location. Not for the food nor value for money. Only for the location.
I went for Brunch to Café Louise, sitting outside in the sun (actually, it´s on the shadow-​side of bd Saint Germain) and watching people going on with their lives on one of Paris most prestigious shopping-​streets.
Service was very friendly, food was alright. A typical buffet-​breakfast like you can get in any decent café. Quality of the food was alright but nothing I would return for. Stay away from the sausages though (fatty little things that had my stomach in turmoil for half the day) instead eat more of the excellent scrambled eggs.
The price for sitting there, watching the rich and pretty do their shopping the whole morning while you drink tea and have your fifth go at the buffet? 33 €. Like I said — Location.

Une très bonne option pour bruncher sous réserve de contrainte budgétaire souple… plus de 30 euros ça fait cher le brunch, mais le buffet est varié et de qualite: viennoiseries, charcuterie, saumon fumé, oeufs brouillés, fromages…

Nice and central place in Paris

Brunch à volonté plutôt sympathique avec un accueil chaleureux et une déco classique.
On regrette un peu le fait que l’accès au buffet soit étroit et que les mini pâtisseries né présentent aucun intérêt gustatif. Le reste par contre est très bon !
Une grande variété de choses sucrées et salées sauront caler les plus gros estomacs !
Petite déception: j’avais lu beaucoup d’excellentes critiques sur le chocolat chaud qui s’est avéré banal.

Fantastic place for brunch. It is a busy place on Sunday. They offer an all-​you-​can-​eat brunch buffet for 33 euros but also their regular menu. Brunch with my sister, she went for the brunch buffet and I ordered from the menu. The buffet is complete: pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancake, deli meats, salmon, quiches, fruits and mini desserts. All very tasty and fresh. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with salad and fries. Very tasty and the fries were the best I had in a long time. Homemade, thick, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Mini desserts from the brunch for my sister and I indulged in their Nutella crêpe 3 pieces. «3 pieces» means you have 3 medium crepes, folded and topped with lots of Nutella. Pure heaven. The district is very popular and touristy, I recommend a digestive walk by the Seine or Jardin du Luxembourg to enjoy the beauty of Paris.

First, I’ll make a comment on the cigarette smoke because we almost left due to this. I don’t care if you are in New York, LA, Paris, London, etc. you run into cigarette smoke. It doesn’t make you any cooler or add a more positive experience to my meal to smell the 2^nd hand cigarette smoke of another idiot who wants to kill themselves prematurely. If some people get up for the cigarette smoke don’t judge them because we all know it is extremely stupid to smoke.
Second, now to the restaurant. We were lucky to run into this place without finding Unilocal.So they are clearly known for their brunch as pretty much everyone was eating their brunch on Sunday.
My wife got the French Onion Soup and I started off with the Escargot. Very solid. For mains my wife got the roasted duck with fries and I got the beef tartar. I had them prepare it and wish I would have asked for it without capers but that was on me. It was super fresh and a really good meal. We opted for no desert because the mains were so big and provided a ton of food.
This area is really nice part of Paris and I recommend it for both restaurants, shopping and wandering the streets.

Come here for Sunday brunch! Lovely atmosphere that’s less touristy and more French! Unlimited buffet available for 33 euros. Or you can order a la cart which was just as tasty for us. Lovely ambiance.
Oh! and be sure to check out the awesome bookstore just across the street. :)

Not a steal, but it’s the price in Saint-​Germain.
Service: 5 stars
The service was actually quite attentive. Waiters were nice. If you are American, please note that in general service in France are slower and less attentive (but you also don’t have to tip that much or at all).
Ambiance: 5 stars
The ambiance here is superb. Warm and bright. Perfect for a fall sunday brunch!

I just like the real omelette here as opposed to the plastic ones across the road. Nice enough, but the lack of vibrant creative ambiance is due to the design and layout of the whole place. So I eat, and go where I feel more welcome and happy. Doesn’t have a Parisienne feel to it, maybe that’s due to the modernity. But I do like the food, and the wait staff are quite nice.

Schlechteren Kaffee gibts in Paris vielleicht sonst noch am Automaten. Enttäuschend. (Meine Frau und ich sind Kaffeeliebhaber, keine Filterkaffeetrinker. Mahlgrad, Brühtemperatur etc. gehören ins aktive Vokabular. Was wir hier bekamen war wirklich erbärmlich. Aber immerhin enthielt er genug Koffein um uns wieder wach zu machen.)

While the atmosphere is nice, service was atrocious. It took forever to get food for no good reason. The order was wrong twice which had nothing to do with the language barrier.

Le café Louise ou comment faire un brunch du tonnerre! Un de mes amis m’a surprise avec ce brunch hors du commun, réservé via la Fourchette pour une somme plus modique de 23 euros…
Et qu’est-ce que c’était copieux pour ce prix là! Chocolats chauds préparés sur demande à volonté, un jus de fruits frais, viennoiseries diverses, mignardises, café et thé de marque, charcuteries (jambon cruuuuu!), saumon fumé, yaourt, mousse au chocolat, salade de fruits, framboises fraiches (!!!), pains, cakes en tout genre, mais sans oublier le salé: quiches, purée, patates chaudes, saucisses grillées et poulet rôti!!! Tout ça en buffet à volonté!
Sans oublier que le cadre en sous-​sol sous voûte est magnifique! Et le service impeccable (Les serveurs né sont pas parisiens ou quoi?)! Je n’aurais jamais cru que pareille merveille à si bas prix existait à Paris, et a fortiori en face du fameux café de Flore!
Franchement…Courez-y!

I’m laughing at the reviews for this place. First of all, you cannot escape cigarette smoke in Paris. People will sit in a restaurant patio and I swear to god, blow the smoke on purpose to the inside of the restaurant at those who are trying to get away from it. This problem is not special to this café, it happens at all of them. Americans, you are so naïve!
The food here is decent. Expensive for what it is, but that’s partly down to the neighborhood. This place is less expensive and way less pretentious than others nearby. I didn’t really like the es cargot and I only had it because it was recommended in a review I read elsewhere. We were happy with our meals otherwise. Good frites.
Okay, now, this is where Café Louise really shines… The waiters are so friendly even to Americans. They speak good English and are extremely attentive and polite. I was astounded at how nice they were. We went to a variety of places while we were in Paris and this was by far our best experience with service. (The stories I could tell.)

Accueil impeccable et service irréprochable. Possibilité de réserver et il vaut mieux car visiblement beaucoup de monde aime l’adresse.
La formule du brunch: 33 € par personne et buffet à volonté.
De quoi s’en mettre par dessus les oreilles. Du salé, du sucré: il y en a pour tous les goûts. Dans le détail: des œufs brouillés, saucisses, saumon, salades, quiches, pain au chocolat, pancakes, croissant, tartelettes, mignardises, pain perdu… Et j’en oublie. Café à volonté et un grand verre de jus de fruit frais.
Tous les produits sont excellents.
Le cadre est lui très sympa. Un très bon moment! A refaire!

This was our ‘spontaneous meal’ for the trip. And exactly why I started researching for vacations a couple years ago. I assumed it would be easy to find a cute Parisian café with amazing food. It’s not!
It’s expensive, mediocre food. You are paying for the location, but what’s the point? Unless you’re a smoker, there’s no people watching to be had since the indoors are largely open to the patio.
We paid around US$ 50 for an open faced chicken sandwich and burger, no drinks. Fries were white and undercooked. The best thing I had was my side salad. The waitstaff were pleasant and spoke English well (as you’d expect in the touristy area).
Go elsewhere my friends, unless you have money to burn just for the heck of it. Or if you smoke, sit on the patio and have a drink.

A restaurant marked by friendly service and decent food. Price is reasonable for the neighborhood. Much better service than the more famous restaurant Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots. The wait staff speaks good English.

Cadre très sympa, ambiance cosy et produits de qualité ! Idéal pour un déjeuner /​dîner accompagné d’un bon verre de vin. Compter environ 15 euros pour un plat.
A l’apéritif, on vous sert une petite assiette de toasts avec des rillettes de Thon au fromage frais pour les tartiner: une vraie bonne idée.
Les salades, plats et tartines sont originaux et copieux, les fromages sont de qualité Ici, tout est fait maison et ça se sent (jusqu’au petit cookie qui accompagne le café gourmand, ou encore le riz au lait-​nutella !)
Le service est parfois un peu hésitant mais toujours très sympa et en bas, une salle de karaoké se laisse découvrir pour les habitués du lieu On n’imagine pas ça en arrivant dans ce café parisien bon chic bon genre.
A tester, sans hésiter !

enfin un endroit sympa, clean, propre, et agréable au coeur de paris où l’on peut manger, bruncher, boire un verre entre amis ou meme une tasse de thé avec son bouquin en terrasse sans :
— Que le serveur toutes les 2 secondes cherche à nettoyer la table
— Que l’on peut prendre son temps pour regarder le tumulte de St germain des prés
— Que l’on né se fasse pas assassiné par les prix
–Que le rapport qualité /​prix est parfait
— Que l’on puisse profiter d’une salle sous voûte lorsque l’on est en groupe
Alors, pourquoi né pas l’avoir dit plus tot à TOUT LE MONDE !!!

A faire ABSOLUMENT

Une petit resto à côté de l’église de St. Germain des Près et à quelques pas du métro. Un service impeccable et avec le sourire en plus ! (plutôt rare de nos jours…).Côté tarif, rien à redire: 17 € plat + dessert et… terrine de thon offerte pour ouvrir l’appétit. Bref, un bon endroit pour déjeuner sur le pouce entre midi et 2.

Super endroit j ai passé la soirée de samedi dernier en terrasse avec des amis, musique live dans le restaurant, cadre magnifique service et plats de qualité, on reviendra!

Café Louise is an elegant restaurant near the Church of Saint-​Germain-​des-​Prés. We went for lunch there recently and I would recommend this place. The service was friendly.

30EUR c’est pas donné mais ça en vaut la peine :)

Café resto karaoké
Endroit refait à neuf et plutot sympa. Le service est très bien et la nourriture plutôt bonne quoiqu’un peu chère. Possibilité de séance karaoké très sympa, mais apres 23h trop de monde et karaōke casse pieds. Les conso sont chères. Un endroit sympathique pour passer une bonne soirée, mais pas tous les jours à cause des prix.

Décoration soignée pour ce restaurant situé au pied du métro St Germain, juste à coté de Lipp et en face du Flore.
Visiblement, il y a un concert chaque soir. J’ai eu droit à une pianiste et une chanteuse très agréable.
Mention spéciale pour notre serveuse extrêmement sympathique.
Très bon rapport qualité prix.
À né pas confondre comme moi avec le Louise Café: je n’avais pas posté mon avis sur le bon resto mais heureusement Olga du HQ de Unilocal à SF s’en est rendu compte ! J’ai arrêté de chercher comment elle avait fait. En tout cas bravo Olga et bravo Unilocal

Un peu cher tout de même
Endroit sympathique avec une très grande cave en sous-​sol équipée d’un système pour faire des karaokés. Carte variée en plats et en vins. Par contre les prix des boissons sont exorbitants (par exemple: coca à 7 € 20), peut-​être parce que le karaoké est gratuit. Bref on s’y amuse mais on n’a pas trop envie de consommer…

Qu’en pensez vous ?
Très bon cadre, cuisine simple et bonne. Digne de st germain des près. Et vous qu’en pensez vous? J’ai beaucoup aimé. L’ambiance est «comme à la maison». C’est un lieu charmant le personnel est très serviable est accueillant. Lieu vraiment très agréable.
