I dont write Unilocal reviews ever, but I feel compelled to write one about this absolutely horrendous place. I too thought this was the place a few doors further up the street. The result was the worst meal we had in the week we were in Paris. The black wheat crepes were just terrible. I had never seen a crêpe look that way, so that’s definitely part of the let down, but the taste itself was not good. Both my fiancée and myself ate roughly half of it before deciding to cut our losses there. We stupidly had already ordered a sweet crêpe each beforehand. The sweet crepes actually weren’t too bad, and frankly might have saved this place from being a 1 star review if not for the following: The absolutely sketchy vibe. We walked in, and were the only customers there for a solid 20 minutes. Not 5 minutes after we walked in, the sole employee there answered the phone, and explained to whoever was on the other line, that we were the only 2 people there, and that we were tourists. I speak very limited french, but I understood exactly what he was saying. I looked over confused and he immediately ducked behind the counter. He then hung up came to take our order and slammed the open door shut. Frankly we should’ve left then and there. Absolutely sketchy. To make matters worse, withing 3 minutes of that phone call, 3 more men showed up and strolled casually down the stairs to what I presumed was the kitchen. The entire situation just didn’t feel right to us. We asked to eat outside afterwards. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but we both just felt very weirded out by that interaction. Honestly never go here. Don’t mistake it for the other place a few doors further up the street.

We thought we were going to Crepperie a few doors down. This place is downright awful. I was sick the rest of the day after eating this crêpe. I couldn’t even try anything with this type of cheese for the remainder of our trip because I was having flash backs of this crêpe. My partners crêpe had mushy eggs and it was awful. There was one man running the tiny restaurant. While we were there two tables walked out because they were never greeted. I understand this particular crêpe is different than the traditional soft crêpe… but I still think they did it all wrong. Trust the Unilocal reviews and go to Crepperie down the street!

Truly a wretched establishment– AVOIDATALLCOSTS! I would give it –1 stars if that was possible. I just ate there, and I’d be furious if it wasn’t filled with pity for incompetent buffoons running this fiasco. I went there with a friend when I couldn’t get into Creperie Broceliande up the street(which has very good reviews). We went in right behind a large group(about 10 people) who were in the same predicament. It should have been a tip-off that the place was(before both our groups arrived) practically empty on a sunny Sunday about noon. It took quite some time for the server to hand us our menu, and I briefly considered bolting as they seemed to be having a lot of problems simply taking the orders form the large group next to us. Sadly, we stayed and experienced the following unpleasantries: 1. Poor table layout in a skinny space. The servers constantly shamed into our table as they rushed to and fro, because they had tried to squeeze a table for 4 people into a space that could only realistically hold a table for 2. Many restaurants in Paris by necessity squeeze many tables into a tight space, but if they do so, they should be careful navigating around the place. These guys were lumbering around like small elephants drunk on homebrew. 2. Server came out with a bunch of plates for the next table, and unceremoniously slapped two of the plates on our(small) table while he sorted out who got what next door(which took a surprisingly long time, due to his poor English and poor French). This might be conceivably be occasionally necessary in a tiny and busy restaurant, but should warrant at least a «pardonez-moi». 3. Server forgot to bring wine for my friend, and brought me a small mineral water instead of a large one. When I complained, she unapologetically grumbled«we have no large bottles». 4. Although they got our orders correct, the table next to us was a disaster, with several people being handed things they did not order, a 15 minute gap between the delivery of the first and last orders for that table. 5. The crepes themselves were just average(which may actually be an improvement, after reading previous reviews), so kudos to them for elevating themselves from awful to just mediocre in this department. 6. Toilet was tiny, disgusting and mechanistically bizarre– I’ve been to a lot of toilets int he world, but never seen the odd flushing mechanism that this thing had(and most likely, neither had the previous customer, since it was unflushed when I stepped in). Sink was also ill-designed and confusing. Overall, the entire staff was sour and running around like they had no idea what they were doing. These people really have no business running an eating establishment. On the plus side, the location is good and the building itself is nice, so hopefully in the future will have the chance to house a different restaurant.

It was more like a rye cracker with nothing in it than a crêpe, we literally thought it was a brown napkin they were bringing us on a plate before we realized it was our meal. Avoid at all costs.

This place was horrid. The woman waitress was extremely rude as we sat down and she was covered in food and stains in a noticeably unprofessional way. My wife went to use the bathroom(which was filthy) and saw the chef not washing his hands after coming out. We decided to leave after seeing that. The woman chased us down and charged us a euro for using the bathroom. Be wary as there are a number of better crêpe places on this street that resemble this one.

DESASTREUX!!! Galette sans beurre et sans gout, le cidre c’est de l’eau, les copeaux de «noix»(?!?) sur la crêpe sont aussi appetissants que du plastique. Le tout pour 17euros…

If there was ever a meal I could take back while out in Paris, it would’ve been this place. Just fresh off a tiring hike up the hill to the Basillica( ), my group and I were hungry for just about anything. With some local friends leading the way, we found ourselves on Rue Trois Frères, a street lined up with plenty of eateries. And despite some of our group hankering for pizza(#1), we instead chose the Frenchier option of a tiny café simply known as «Creperie.» We should’ve known better, the place was completely empty and it seemed only one woman was running the show. Hailing from Morocco, her French wasn’t the most spectacular and her English was virtually non-existent, making it difficult for anyone in our group to communicate with her. Our group was so large we filled up the place and with orders left and right, she scrambled to get things done but in the end the wait was too long. It boiled down to over an hour of waiting for our food, which was really just simple crepes of various stuffings. We could’ve just left, but then nearly 20 seats would have gone and she would’ve been stuck with just as many crepes. So we toughed it out and when it came time to eat, a sea of disappointed faces began to emerge and they all expressed the same thing: These crepes are terrible. Some were broken, many were cracked, with lots of the filling oozing out all over the plate. Even if they don’t look good, they really didn’t taste much better. Crepes are usually thin with just enough crisp to tickle the palate. Most of our crepes were like bread, except hardened and difficult to cut with a knife. It would’ve been easier to pick it up like a giant cracker and just bite off of it like a burger(#2). The slow and absent minded service was already a deterrent but messy crepes as well? It was a kicker to a one star rating I am not likely to change anytime soon. ________________ (#1) Most of us did not come to France to eat pizza. (#2) I suspect this doesn’t go over well in Paris.
