Stayed in Paris recently at Hotel Eden, and it was a literal pleasure to have this boulangerie down rue Blomet. The woman running this place didn’t know much English, but my wife and I would point to various items and slaughter French words on the signage to indicate our choice pastry delights. The crude technique worked well, each and every day of our visit in France, including the morning we left back for the US, having a tight timeline to catch our flight. It was so good it was worth missing our flight(I exaggerate), and so good we kept going back. The baguettes, tarts, croissants, and quiche… all extremely good. The cheese quiche I must admit, was so insanely delectable, some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s tough finding good quiche, just like it’s tough finding a good boulangerie in Europe, where one virtually sits on every corner. Le Fournil Saint Lambert was the best boulangerie we found in Paris, after trying quite a few.
