This LV store also had a line out the door like the one on Champs Élysées, but good thing I had the bag I wanted on hold because that was my ticket to get in. I went here twice because I had to think and think about buying this ridiculously expensive bag. But I’m glad I bought it here in the Galleries Lafayette because they have a «detax» area in the basement level where you can just fill everything out for the 12% tax credit. All I had to do was submit it at CDG customs and mail it off.
The sales reps at LV in France in general are so nice. They offered me mariage frères tea, champagne, coffee, coke, juice, perrier, etc.
I bought one tie for my hubby and a bag for myself, I saved almost $ 900!!! That can buy me another bag! I think it was cheaper than the states because the Euro is falling. If you pay cash, you get 10.8% back immediately. If you pay by credit card you get 12% back and it takes about 2 months for the credit.
