It’s not often you find a quality Irish pub located on the Loire in Saumur, France, but The Celtic is one of a kind! Serving meals all day every day, The Celtic is an ideal place to pop into for a beer, snack or for an evening meal. With seating both outside and upstairs, it’s good for group entertaining. Beers and wines are plentiful(Leffe, Hoegarden, Duval and local types sitting comfortably alongside better knowns such as Stella and Guiness!) but suprisingly, The Celtic serves a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails, presented in a strangely tropical and extravagant way that even Del Boy would be proud of! Delicious, and well worth trying, especially the one featuring Papaya and Bacardi. Food wise, the ommellettes are filling(mushroom and fromage a favourite) and the pizzas thin, crispy and delicious. Good old Fish and Chips also makes an appreciated appearance. Recommended pub!
