My friends and I stopped here on a whim for a late lunch. We enjoyed fantastic service and even better food, such as the seafood pie I devoured. Highly recommended!

Such a cute a little pub! So glad my husband and I stopped in here! We were searching for a bite to eat before heading home on Christmas Eve and stumbled into this little pub. We were very quickly greeted once we had selected a table, and the staff were SUPER friendly!
We don’t live in Kerry, so obviously no one there recognised us. The waitress came over started asking if we were visiting family, and what brought us to the Skellig area, adding that she didn’t recognise our faces so she figured we weren’t from the area. It was nice being in a pub where everyone was chatting to each other and seemed to know everyone else. Such a friendly and cosy environment for Christmas Eve!
I ordered their soup of the day (which was vegetable), and my husband ordered their bangers and mash, along with a couple irish coffees. The irish coffees were really good. I really enjoyed my soup, but husband said that the bangers and mash were just «ok.» But that was fine enough, the price of the food and friendly environment did more than make up for it. Will definitely pop in here again the next time in Cahersiveen!
