We were torn between giving 4 vs 5 stars because this beautiful restaurant did everything very well & the only thing lacking for us may be normal in Europe/Ireland…we felt the flavors/​spices needed a bit more punch. Even the Kung Po Chicken which was marked «spicy» wasn’t. Maybe they do this for tourists to save them from heartburn?
Otherwise, the service was 5 star and the décor was over-​the-​top beautiful. A very enjoyable dinner for a reasonable price.

Very nice restaurant with friendly, helpful staff and tasty food. My family thoroughly loved the Exotic Prawns. We also had the chow mein, black bean chicken stir fry, spring rolls, and steamed buns. All were good and quick service.

Best Chinese in Cork!
We have been there a few times and we were delighted each time.
Menu is classic Chinese restaurant food but it is very well prepared and is delicious.
Its a nice room and service is excellent — Quite good value too.

I tried a few starters and as main course the chicken sweet-​sour, which was quite good. The lunch menue is a starter and a main course or a main course with a glass of wine, no dessert. The staff is really fast, the kitchen as well, which leads to the idea, that the food is pre-​prepared. That would explain the average to good quality. If you are in a hurry, it is ok, but for a nice evening… well, you decide.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Cork. There is a lovely atmosphere. The servers are so polite and kind, especially the guy, he is just a wonderful warm person. There is an amazing lunch deal mon to sat up until 4 pm where for euro 9.50, you can have a starter or glass of wine plus main plus coffee. I even feel guilty leaving as I feel I have not paid enough given the wonderful service and relaxing atmosphere. The quality of food is exceptional. The lighting is dim so you feel like you can stay there for hours. The service is quick. The décor is beautifully intricate Chinese style. the bathrooms are always immaculate. In my opinion the best Chinese in Cork.

Brilliant place to eat. It is easily the best Chinese I was ever in and that includes some really great places in London’s Chinatown.
Two full early bird three-​course menus cost us a total of € 36 excluding the tip. Clean, great décor, friendly, quick and quiet with terrific food served on sharing platters. Brilliant, sure what more could you want?
The barbeque ribs are magic and the beef chow mien and the chicken curry left us wishing we could fit more in but we just couldn’t and had to avail of the doggy-​bag service.

Best Chinese meal I have ever had. Very comfortable and clean. Great atmosphere and best of all the food was brilliant. Portions were far too large and the staff happily provided doggy bags. We had the full early bird menu at eight pm for only € 18 each.
Two spare rib starters, a chicken curry with fried rice and a black bean chowmein.
Highly recommended.

hands down best Chinese restaurant in Cork, only real one in the city… sharing plates like its meant to be done in China and reasonable, always full of Chinese families so must be the best!

I have been at YMY twice now with different food. Duck, chicken, seafood. I wasn’t disappointed at all.
I like Asian food in general but most restaurants prepare and serve it too oily. There is nothing to complain in this restaurant.
The people are very friendly and courteous.
I like the decoration. The whole room is covered in old dark wood. Very lovely and cozy.

The food here was fantastic and the service was great. The food was lighter than some of the Chinese food I get in the states and that is a good thing as it seems more natural than the sugar coated Chinese I’m used to. I got the Chicken Szechuan and my wife got the Ha Sung Pa Aromatic Duck and neither of us were disappointed.
