This place is great value and very convenient for any one hanging around Busaris waiting to get the heck out of dodge! I went for the penne contessa which for less than 8 quid was very very tasty and a generous portion to boot. The rest of the menu looked equally good and I’ll definitely be back to try out their pizza options!

You would never imagine that there would be such a nice and cosy little restaurant inside Beresford Hotel. Located right across Busaras(the central bus station), the place is a hidden spot and also very central. They have a set menu with pasta and pizza for 10, sides for about 3 and desserts for 6 euro. Wonderful roof décor with romantic atmosphere. For starters, I would suggest the goat’s cheese and sun dried tomato tartlet and for the main, the 4 cheese pizza. The cheese is of good quality and the size is fair. The fish and chips is not so big and a bit expensive for 12.50 if compared to other places in town.

Very reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Food was good and plentiful for dinner. Able to have a couple of pints of Guinness on Good Friday since we are staying at the Beresford. Considering trying breakfast tomorrow … probably without the Guinness.

The only thing you need to know is that they have a happy hour pizza and pasta special for only € 9.90! Done and done! Eddie Hobbs voted this place best value for money in his very exciting magazine You and Your Money. This guy as dreadfully boring as his magazine may be does know a thing or two about money. If you went to pizza hut and try to have their buffet they’d try to charge you 9 cents more than that! Trust me this stuff is way, way better than Pizza Hut!

This kind of nice Italian restaurant is situated beside Issac’s Hotel /Hostel! It is quite a popular place with professionals from the I.F.S.C nearby and the residents of the hotel /hostel! It has a unique(I would say tacky) décor with curved ceilings and columns that are suppose to evoke thoughts of Italian vineyards sunshine and a sheltered courtyard garden offers the diner the option of dining al fresco. Il Vignardo is a great place to catch up with friends and is an appealing choice for lunch or dinner. The menu is a mix of traditional and modern Italian with a few extra worldwide favourites thrown in. This fully licensed restaurant also offers an Early Bird Menu that is available from 3pm-6.30pm. From a choice of starters, mains and desserts you can choose two courses for just € 13.00. After dining at Il Vignardo’s, you can enjoy some live music in Isaac Butt’s Bar next door.
