My favourite hairdresser in Dublin! They’re open Tuesday — Saturday and you can usually get an appointment the day you call. Julia, the only hairdresser, is great! I recently took the plunge and asked her to cut off a whole bunch a’ hair and was delighted with the result. Prices range from 20 — 28 for a wash, cut and blowdry — depending on the length of your hair. If you’re lucky you may also get a € 5 voucher for your next appointment. Win win! :-)

I was so happy to find this place, my hair needed a trim badly and I didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money on a clean up. The head massage was so lovely and the cut looks great. I will definitely be back soon and am looking forward to trying her organic line of colours, thanks Julia!

As a tourist and first time visitor of Dublin I wasn’t sure where to go. The reviews of this place are spot on! The haircut I got was great. Very friendly staff and great value for money. I’m pleased i went there and would go again if I was ever to visit Dublin again.

After so many positive reviews I went there full of hopes and expectations. It took some time to take my jacket and pullover and while I was doing it I was explaining how important is to me to take care of my beard. I sat and only then the lady told me they do not trim beards. It was quite a blow, you know. I left and the barber next door did it for me. This is the first time in my life a hair salon to refuse doing my beard…

Love this place so much, it’s a bit of a hidden gem really. Great haircuts, fabulous price, no pushing of products, no booming loud in your face music, none of the feeling that you are paying for style over substance or aren’t cool enough to be there. In other words exactly what I want in a hairdressers and for the price, well worthy of five stars. They close for a few weeks over the summer to take holidays which I think is brilliant. Understandably I think the extended closure caused confusion in other reviewers(they are back open now). It’s 28 euro for a cut and blowdry with all organic products and a head massage thrown in for good measure. The Hungarian stylist, Julia(I think) is lovely and possibly the gentlest hairdresser I’ve ever experienced! Closed my eyes at one point and could hardly tell she was doing anything; none of the tugging you endure at some hairdressers. Showed her a photo of what I was looking for and she delivered, didn’t feel rushed either. The décor is sweet and girly, the building unassuming and in need of a little love but don’t judge by appearances, great price and worth giving business to.

Have had this place book marked for a while now and spur of the moment today decided to pop in and treat myself. The place is closed up. Looks like it’s been closed a while as there is a lot of post on the ground. Really disappointed as the reviews had been great and somewhere cheap & cheerful. Back to Unilocal reviews I go!

I just got my haircut today by a lovely stylist named Julia(I think sorry if that’s wrong!) I got an amazing cut. The products are almost all organic. The girls are super nice! I had really really long hair and I got almost 10″ cut off and they eased me into the transition, let me keep my hair and didn’t charge me any extra. They really take their time too which is great. I’m now a loyal customer.

I have been to many hairdressers in Dublin(for example Robert Chambers, Toni & Guy, Peter Marks) and alot of excellent hairdressers outside of Ireland. The haircut I got here was by far the best I ever got. The salon is very clean and tastefully decorated. Unlike Peter Marks, there is no loud music, patronising snobbery, or any attempt to sell you unwanted products. Instead, the staff here are very dignified, polite, and there is a very pleasant atmosphere. My appointment was with Kelly, and my friend — who got her hair cut at the same time — was with Michael. Kelly listened attentively to exactly what I wanted, and the result was all that I wanted and more. A wash, cut and blow dry for short hair costs € 20, and € 23 for shoulder length hair. I was here since I wrote this review and got my hair cut by Aki. He managed to do an even better job than the first time I was here. He was very attentive, gentle, and didn’t rush the cut. Did an amazing job. Cost € 25 for shoulder length. Worth much more!

There are only a few places that use only organic products esp. for hair colourings. The service here is very good and prices are reasonable. Only thing I would change is the music!

I don’t know about you, but I really hate having to dish out an exorbitant amount of money to get my hair cut. I have quite long hair, but really all I ever want is to get the excess layers off. I’m not talking a full dye or some intricate hairstyle. For some reason it seems that Dublin likes to overcharge tons on getting a haircut. There’s quite a few places that have deals for men, but alas us ladies get charged more and sometimes incur an extra fee for long hair! My saving grace was IS Organic. Their normal cut and dry comes in at a cool € 20, what a refreshing change from the others! The staff were friendly and it was clean inside so I didn’t really feel like I was sacrificing much going for a budget cut!
