Itsa Bagel

Didn’t have much hope for this one. Nope. It was Xmas, it was crowded, we were hungry as beasts from a Peter Jackson movie. We just wanted to sit down for a bit and eat. Whatever. Anything. Bagels? Bagels it is. Let’s make it quick.
But oh, boy, I was so wrong… DELICIOUS bagels, mega-​filled with tasty fillings (they explode when they reach your mouth, literally). It’s cheap, it has vegetarian options, it has my full atention. I want more.

Encastré dans un gros complexe de magasins, Itsa Bagel né paie pas de mine à première vue. Pour être vraiment honnête, nous étions en train dy boire un café lorsque nous avons commencé à scruter Unilocal pour trouver les meilleurs bagels de Dublin. C’est alors que nous avons réalisé que nous y étions déjà…
Le menu est large, les bagels sont fantaisistes et la qualité est au rendez-​vous. Petit bémol pour le cadre, ce qui me pousse à stagner au 4 étoiles. On s’est néanmoins bien fait plaisir!
Une adresse parfaite pour faire un break entre Penneys et les autres galeries commerçantes!

I like my odd bagel from Itsa Bagel. This time I had a meeting in Pembroke Street and wanted lunch before going back to work. All eateries in Baggott Street were jammers and I wasn’t in the mood for queing. Luckily I saw this Itsa Bagel shop on my way earlier and as it’s a bit off Baggott Street is seems to get forgotten by some.
So I got a lovely bagel while sitting down and relaxing. Staff nice, décor nice, bagel nice — what else would you want. Oh, there was a check-​in offer for a cookie and coffee for € 3 but that has to wait as the bagel was enough for me that day.

For the first impression about inside, it’s not really a kind of comfortable place where you can relax, I thought, but the bagels are (at least the one I had was) soo amazing that such an impression was never important any more!
They have many selections, from classic savory ones like club and caesar, to healthy ones such as vegetarian or dairy-​free one.
From healthy ones, I opted for «The Magnum G. I” – a Pumpernickel bagel with home roast turkey, crushed avocado, roasted red peppers, sliced red onion, lettuce, tomato and vinaigrette.
The moment I tasted, I realized I did definitely a great choice!
Pumpernickel bagel was brilliant (so lovely that I even wanted to have it without any filling!), perfect amount of springy and moist texture with crustiness on the surface.
also along with that perfect bagel, the fillings of turkey, avocado and veg. with yummy vinaigrette was completely in the harmony! yes, each ingredients was making one thing!
Although I tasted only this one, I can highly recommend to have this Magnum G. I !
I had a great contentment, of course while eating but also long after finishing it.

For the past 10 years, Itsa Bagel has been ordering their bagels daily all the way from New York City. They are fat-​free and absolutely delicious! You can also purchase the bagels in store to bring home with you. The common favourite bagel is the «Everything Bagel» filled with chicken, bacon, brie cheese, veggies, and red onion marmalade! You can adjust the ingredients according to your personal taste. Recommended if you like traditional American-​style bagels!
