I really like going to Kororo in South William Street. It’s now my treat in Fridays The staff is always so friendly. If you feel nobody is acknowledging your presence today, go there. You always get a hello, even if you don’t buy anything. I usually get sushi but the hot good is also very nice and the portion quite generous.

Really affordable and worth sushi available here. Probably one of the better easy to go sushi in Dublin. They guarantee that the sushi are fresh daily however do not expect it to be of good quality. One of my favourite here is their spicy chirashi don which only cost € 2.45 and their onigiri which cost € 2. They have bigger sizes boxes which comes with a choice of miso or salmon miso soup.

Really weird concept of a sushi place but surprisingly worked out for me since I was on the airport. For their«Bento» boxes, you can choose, mix, and match individually clear wrapped sushis that sold for anywhere from 1.10 euros to 1.30 euros PERPIECE which does add up. The flavors included things like vegetarian cucumber rolls, your classics like avocado and salmon, and also some different sushi pieces(Which I was a fan of) like Tuna and corn, salmon and dill, and spicy sesame crab. I bought two individual pieces first as a snack. Cool thing was they did a half off happy hour session 30 minutes before closing(so after 8:30) and picked out a variety of 6 pieces for my flight totaling about 3.50 euros. Wasn’t the best sushi in terms of freshness but some of the choices like the spicy sesames, tuna and corn, and salmon dill are interesting and offered as a better, more tasty meal for my international flights and movies. Don’t come here expecting the best tasting and fresh sushi but come here for the convenience and option of customization of your sushi plate!

Great takeaway sushi, Kokoro is my go-to healthy ‘fast food’ lunch. There is a nice range of sushi combos(bento + miso), as well as sushi by the piece(gunkan), and the heatable meals are amazing value at € 4.95. The Nasi Goreng and yakisoba are my favourites for take home dinner. Everything is half price the 30min before closing, because they never resell the food, but don’t count on a wide variety, this place is pretty popular. It’s excellent for what it is, and easily beats out Yo Sushi for me. Oeshii!

I’m a really big fan of this, it’s starting to ruin my lunches because it’s quickly becoming the only place I go to. The staff are FRIENDLY, some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. Bonus points for this! The interior is simple but cool, pretty small so they just have seats along the wall. It’s fine and does the job but it’s not exactly the epitome of comfy. The sushi is GREAT, it tastes seriously fresh. But the value is what does it for me, I haven’t seen this much fresh sushi for these prices anywhere else. You’ll have more than enough to eat for € 8.95 or you can even buy individual pieces of sushi if you’re on the run(this is VERY cool). Every bento box comes with miso soup as standard. In short: Great value, Great sushi & Great Staff. A trifecta that just works.

Really good, well priced Japanese food my only(small) gripe would be lack of tuna in it’s sashimi form. as I’m not as much of fan of cooked tuna with this sort food. The staff are always incredibly polite and very efficient, they do that rare thing that so many places don’t: If a line forms they drop what they are doing and all serve customers. so all in all great food, service and prices for takeout Japanese.

The miso soup alone is a winner. Amazing value for such tasty food! Staff are really friendly too. Love it!

Came after ages to have some sushi here and this new branch is so much better than the old one! It’s much bigger, there’s always seats available and the staff were really friendly, which made me happy. The sushi is so cheap, like 1.20−1.75 for one piece, and the pre-packed bentos are all under 11 euro. Since you don’t have to buy two of each piece like the other Kokoro, I was able to try a good variety of sushi, but the tamago(egg), tako(octopus) and fresh salmon ones are my favourites! There were some cooked salmon sushi using what looked like tinned salmon, but it didn’t look fresh, kinda more brown than pink. But the others ok, albeit lacking freshness with that day-old feel; I think it depends on what day you go, weekends are probably leftovers so you may get fresher stuff on the weekdays. They also have 2 types of miso soup: The regular plain one with seaweed and tofu, ot the salmon one which is new. Pros: cheap, clean, no queues or waiting, friendly staff and half price on bento boxes half an hour before closing. Cons: some days the sushi with fish is not fresh, so it’s a gamble on what day you go if freshness matters to you. Also, I kinda see 3 euro for a small cup of miso soup kind of a waste.

You know what you’re going to get in Kokoro, it’s reliable decent sushi. The William Street branch is a good spot to stop for a quick sushi fix, and it’s always so incredibly clean and tidy.

Hurrahh Kokoro has come to the south side ! Ok so they aren’t going to win an award for the best sushi in the world as it’s prepacked but for me is the best of the pre made stuff in Dublin. I can run in and grab a tray to have at my desk. They have great value trays and lots of little individually wrapped sushi pieces if you’re feeling extra hungry. They also have wasabi mayo that I have a minor addiction to. Now that they have opened near to my work I’ve had a chance to try the hot food and I’m seriously impressed. I had chicken katsu curry which was delish and great value at € 9 for the curry, two pieces of sushi and a can. The staff are absolutely adorable — super friendly and enthusiastic and the restaurant itself is really bright and fresh — I will be a regular here without question

The only thing stopping me giving this 1 star is the Sushi I had last week. I had the Beef Yaki Saba today which was stringy and full of fat. It was horrible but I ate it as I’d paid for it. Really regret it now as my stomach is telling me I made a bad choice.
