After searching for the perfect dance studio for our rehearsals, we finally decided upon Liffey Trust studios. The studio looks brand new and is well equipped with a sound system. What I found extremely helpful is the car park facilities at 1 euro per hour, very important in the inner city. And there is the Green Room Bar adjoining the building if you want a soda after your dance beats.

I take Polynesian dance classes there with Hinatea from Tamure Dublin, and it’s just awesome. They offer many dance classes, from Polynesian to Hip-Hop, from Bellydance to Zumba, Burlesque, Ballet(icluding Ballet for adult beginners or children). They recently added Surf Fit, which i am totally willing to try. The room sizes are very variable, so if you want to host a dance class, you have options depending on the size of your audience. Also, there is heating available in the classes, which is great when you have a class in winter. If you require help(the sound system is not working, for instance) you ask for help downstairs or at the bar next door, as they are managed by the same people. It’s a nice place where artists such as the Riverdance crew come to rehearse, or where pop stars come to practice before their show in the O2 just nearby.
