No fuss with the staff this night. Wonderfully exotic spread on the card. Good options for my vegetarian company. Fine food, 10−20% overpriced for bargain types, strange little room.

I visited this restaurant after reading all the good reviews online in sites such as this one… boy was I surprised. I have since come to the conclusion that the staff at Mantraa have been posting a flood of good reviews about themselves in order to trick unsuspecting customers like me into coming to their restaurant. Upon arrival I was met by what looked like a poorly converted basement office with a few tables dotted around. The paint on the walls was patchy at best and the tables were thrown in with no consideration for aesthetics. Needless to say my date and I hoped that this restaurant was a diamond in the rough. Boy were we mistaken… We ordered our meal after 10 minutes of waiting and waving at the waiter. Upon placing our order we asked for a jug of water which never arrived. We waved again only for a waiter to come over with a jug and pour us water into what I presume was the smallest glasses they had.(Probably two mouthfuls in each). So begun the battle of constantly calling over what we feel were inattentive waiters to constantly refill our glasses, even after asking them to leave the jug they insisted that there was no space on our small table.(Yes it was small but we were able to make room) they still refused rudely. The starter arrived, we shared a «non-vegetarian platter» and were not surprised to find that while the chicken was cooked and still warm the lamb on the plate was cold to the touch. It is not an enjoyable starter, the food was mediocre at best. We didn’t finish it, avoiding the cold food. The main course was a little better but was by far not up to the standards of even a decent Indian restaurant. We quickly finished our meal, paid our bill and went on our way. Never to return again. I have told my friends and family never to visit this restaurant.
