McCabes Deli

If I told you just how hard we tried not to go into McCabes you might get an idea of just how unappealing this place is.
We poked our noses in, saw the dodgy pink neon lighting in the ceiling, the cheap dodgy furniture and almost empty café and decided to try Herb street, munchies, lolly & Cooke and HQ before returning because all the others were packed to the rafters.
But return we did, we had just 40 mins left before the meeting and we were ravenous.
We ordered sandwiches and coffee and hoped for the best and what we got was actually very good. True the toasted sambos could have spent a bit more time under the grill but honestly, pretty good overall.
Grab the nice leather chairs to the immediate left as you go in, if the rest of the place was decorated like this they would be on to a winner.
Bathrooms were awful however, big no no in my book.
So, punchline is this place has potential; the food and coffee were very good but they have a huge challenge to bring the place up to spec. Given how quiet they were and how busy everyone else was, they need to get their act together pdq!
