Was there with a voucher that gave me 10 small dishes. The food was good, though I suspect ordering off the main menu would be a little better. There were quite a number of Malaysian patrons so I imagine the place is authentic enough. The house wine was a little acrid and the beer choice was lacking to say the least. I’m not sure I was sold as somewhere we have to go back to but it was a nice and pleasant restaurant and the staff were lovely. Certainly worth a shot if you want to try Malaysian food.

Had dinner here. Friendly atmosphere. Great service. Combination platter is a great starter. Great choice of Malaysia, India, China and more mains.

Maybe it was the dish that I got, but I just was not wowed by my meal here. I’ve had way better Malaysian food as I have easier access to authentic Malaysian food here in NYC and this just didn’t compare. I got the sayur sayuran(mixed vegetables) dish and was kind of disappointed to learn that rice wasn’t included with the mains. When the food came, they placed the dish on this little grill on the table. A nice touch, but I thought it was kind of unnecessary. The dish itself was okay tasting but very bland. Service was prompt but the prices are rather high. I will say, though, that since I am a vegetarian, I didn’t get to try any of their meat dishes. Maybe that’s where they shine instead?

Yes to Roti Canai Yes to Char Kway Teow Meh to Beef Rendang — it is one of my favourite dishes back home but here, they have put a Western twist on it with beef strips instead of beef cubes, and gravy instead of a thick creamy curry. Meh to Ice Bandung — this is a cordial-like drink with rose syrup and condensed milk but I hardly tasted the former. That qualified them for 3 stars. An additional star: Staff were very attentive and gracious when my stray arm hit the glass of water which went flying across the table, and immediately replaced it as well. Will come back here again — hopefully the restaurant sees this review and change the recipes to the dishes to make them more authentic.

That place is quite popular with my Malaysian friends. The food there is halal which is proved popular with the Malays(Malaysian Muslims). It is a bit dear to eat inside yet the restaurant is never empty. The food there is really good(my Malaysian freinds often say that its very close to what they have back home in Malaysia).

Got it delivered and two Malaysian curries(gulai beef and kapitian chicken) I tasted were nice and spicy, meat was very tender and not fatty at all and it was fairly cheap. Spring rolls were, well, spring rolls and chicken satay starter was grand. Decent takeaway fodder all round.
