As previous Unilocal writers have alluded to, this place is a bit hidden. As you leave the Merrion, it’s to the left and tucked under a sign. One evening during the trip, we were undecided about where to go eat and had spent most of the day walking around so we weren’t up to the task of doing a lot of walking for food. We decided to try something near by and what could be nearer than next door? We are so glad that we made it there. Not only was every morsel a delight to our palate but we found the most delicious wine of which we bought two bottles and to this day, still keep for the memories. One of the best meals I had while in Dublin.

Pearl Brasserie was a wonderful find. As we were walking from our hotel, we noticed this little walk-down and decided to give it a try. We are thrilled we did. We both ate from the ala carte menu, but there were plenty of choices on the early bird that sounded fine. However, one of the daily specials caught both our attentions. They featured a fresh halibut, paired with boneless chicken wings, chanterelles, and a chicken reduction over a pesto purée with pea shoot garnish. Sounds weird, but a fine combination. My wife enjoyed some lovely fresh oysters, while I started with an octopus carpaccio under fresh sliced radishes with a peach crème and smoked mayonnaise. Again, both were outstanding. Finished with a lovely cheese platter. The service was exemplary! We would definitely come here again.

Great place if you have some important life event to celebrate, in my case it was my boyfriend birthday. We enjoyed the evening. My boyfriend starts with Carlingford Lough Oysters. I am not a big fan of the mussels or oysters so I cannot say that I was enjoying it, but Pan Fried Duck Foie Gras was excellent! I had Organic Salmon for my main Corse. Fish was nicely cooked. I’ve caught one of the staff members, and I’ve asked could they stick the candle in the dessert, they were so nice and they brought us a selection of the small desserts with a small candle.

Hands down, the best dining experience of my life in Ireland. The sommelier and other waitstaff were outstanding– friendly and knowledgable. The food we ordered came out cooked to perfection with delicate flavours and the amuse bouches that were brought out in between each course were delightful. I’m not going to write a really long review for this place as one word could easily sum it up: Fantastic! Pay Pearl Brasserie a visit!

We spend our 1st anniversary in that place. During the booking we asked for a nice table but unfortunately we did not have one specific. Anyway the restaurant is very cosy and the staff so kindly . Food is a innovative mix with asian and french food. Not commun ! The menu seems to change during season and the chef use fresh products. I highly recommand the king scallop as the main course ! So delicious.

I was here for dinner on Halloween’s night. Disappointed with the entire meal, this place has fallen back from its glorious days. It used to be the best restaurant in Dublin.

I came back with a menu pages voucher that’s aim was to get people to know they are open for lunch on Saturdays now. I’m so glad I came back! The starter I had was a HUGE improvement to what I ordered before. The salmon tartare was light and a great way to start my meal. My main course of the pork cheek… Ohmagawd it was so tender and full of flavor. The mash it was served on was garlicky and perfectly seasoned. No lumps here! For dessert I got the ice cream which came in 4 mini cones. It was so adorable and I scarfed them down before I would lose any to the table cloth! I was very impressed with the quality of food. I also really love the fact that all the employees are french. I really felt like I was in a brasserie in Paris! The initial server I got was a bit awkward who made me feel uncomfortable. But the younger servers were on the ball and not so hard the eyes! The French accent just made me drool more… Over the food of course ;)

Had foie gras appetizer and cod in a lobster bisque sauce. Beautiful presentation excellent and attentive service. Extensive wine list. Quiet evening but large group seated nearby having fun. Will enjoy thinking about this meal over again.

I’ve been in Pearl Brasserie so many times, it is actually my favourite restaurant in Dublin. Well, not anymore. For me, Pearl is known by its Foie Gras(starter), pan seared foie gras to be more specific, it’s normally served with a toasted brioche, strawberry sauce and some micro herb… It’s so good that we keep going there only because of it. Last Saturday my husband called them to make a reservation, we were sure we wouldn’t be able to get a table, but yes, we got one. Our dinner was booked for 8:30, we were greeted by the hostess and we decided we wanted to go straight to our table, as we had had some drinks at the local bar. The restaurant was empty, I personally had never seen that place like that before, pity. No atmosphere at all. I had a bramble cocktail(served with a bar fly). Really??? Yes. Ok it happens!!! Obviously we both ordered the famous Foie Gras as Starter, my husband had steak for main and I had salmon as I wanted to keep my main quite light because of my starter choice(heavy). When we got our starter we didn’t even know that was it… On the menu it says«foie Gras«only, it doesn’t say how it’s served or cooked, and that was the surprise, it was a terrine … Boring, Boring, Boring terrine. We were so disappointed, we talked to the waitress and she said she would pass to the chef, but honestly, for us it really didn’t matter, we were getting a «surprise» that we didn’t like at all. So, the whole expectation of a fine dinning was gone just like that. At the end it didn’t really matter how good or bad the main course was… Service: Well… I know the girls were trying to be helpful, but they kept coming to our table while we were in the middle of a conversation, that was annoying… Our dinner from the moment that we arrived to the end last 50 minutes sharp. We just wanted to leave. I would never give 2 stars to this place, but everything was bad, that is a 5 star restaurant, so you expect 5 star everything. We won’t go back :(

Pearl Brasserie is a Dublin fine dining experience – French cuisine prepared with Irish ingredients and artfully presented. Emphasis on fish and poultry. Choice of several private coves contribute to the intimate ambiance. Also ideal for business. Our private dining area accommodated 8 people including a vegetarian. From the à la carte menu, enjoyed an appetizer of MARINATEDTUNA with apple wasabi sorbet, and an entrée of perfectly cooked COD over a bed of fennel and corn. Several other diners also enjoyed the duck, perfectly cooked. See pics. Price per person with appetizer, entrée, wine and dessert(or after dinner drink) was about 100 € including Value Added Tax and Service Charge. We were not rushed. Service was attentive. An early bird value menu also available before 6:45 pm Tiny Gripe: As a recent fan of Irish whiskey, disappointed that Pearl Brasserie did not have Green or Yellow Spot Irish Whiskey. Chose Black Bush instead. Only a 5 mins walk from St Stephen’s Green. Closest alternative, comparable in food quality and service, is One Pico… also nearby.

Hands down the best food for this price range in Dublin. Have eaten countless times now and the service and food is always exquisite.

Lovely ambience and décor. Not great food. Especially options for vegetarians are limited. Don’t understand — this is 2014 — not 1960

Loved this restaurant. Cozy place. Interesting art on the walls. A vegetarian menu. Attentive service. I had an avocado starter with ponzu and salsify chips. Onion risotto made with spelt and fennel. Amuse bou he was lovely. Goat cheese coated in some sweet onion chutney and some beet root I would recommend this as vegetarian friendly

Wow. This was my first ever fine dining experience and I have to say I was really impressed. I had the Castletownbere Crab to start which was served with compressed apple and lotus. I had never tried crab before, so this was a real treat. The presentation was fantastic. My other half had the fois gras, also for the first time. While it wasn’t really his thing, I loved it! Again, fantastic presentation. We both wanted to try foods we had never tried before, so I had the pigeon and husband had the pheasant. Again, fantastic presentation but I don’t think pigeon is for me! It was served pink and literally fell apart on my fork. My husband tried it and really loved it. His pheasant was fantastic. We shared a col cannon which was really lovely. The highlight of my meal was the tea! I loved how it was served in cute cast iron teapots and with mini macaroons. But what really makes this place shine is the service. We were served by a really wonderful young French lady who made us feel very very welcome. As new comers to fine dining, we were understandably nervous, however our server was incredibly friendly and didn’t laugh when I asked her to advise me what certain things on the menu were. All in all I will definitely be back! A tip: If you can — book one of their cave rooms. Most romantic table in all of Dublin!

I really like this place. Not sure it deserves a Michelin star but for food and prices this places gets 5 stars from me. Oysters were so fresh and my quail special(in a pastry with foie gras), champ and jus was just divine. The melting chocolate ball with caramel was also excellent. And last but not least the coffee was excellent(a rarity in good restaurants for some reason). Best part of the night was the bill(very reasonable) for an awarded restaurant. I would come back here anytime for a meal.

Yummy food, delicious wine! I went to Pearl on a work event recently, and it was a real treat. I had the King Scallop(w/Duck Hearts, Plum Purée, Smoked Duck) to start. Such an unusual combo but the duck hearts were melt in the mouth. I had a variation on the squab for mains(they were sold out) so instead of squab I had halibut with Black Truffle Mousseline, Pan Fried Duck Foie Gras. YUMYUMYUM! The desert was the real piece de resistance however(and let me say I’m not a huge desert person so for me to clear the plate it’s got to be worth it). I had the lemon desert which was lemon five(i think) ways. The most delish tart! lemon tart on a buttery buttery base, surrounded by other yummy lemony treats, jelly, foam, tacky meringue which disintegrated in the mouth. Just when I thought I couldn’t eat anymore, the coffee’s arrived with melt in the mouth chocolates from coco atelier. Downside, making us wait until all our party arrived(we were 12 people, I don’t see why you can’t seat the first group when they arrive on time). First seated out in the bar area but thankfully moved to a more cozy area at the back. Also, service was a little slow for a Wednesday night. That aside, I look forward to having a special occasion to go back again!

Excellent food. Good service. I had dinner at Pearl Brasserie and the food was excellent. I had tempura shrimp as a started and my colleagues had soup and oysters on the half shell. All was very good. For my main dish I had the squab prepared two ways. The squab was prepared extraordinarily well — not only were the flavors intense, but the preparation was boneless — removing the chore of eating squab. The meal with a bottle of Bordeaux ended up costing about 60 euro per person, not cheap but not outrageously expensive for a very expertly prepared meal. The table service was good, but the server was a little timid. All in all and excellent meal that was a welcome change from the traditional Irish fare generally available in Dublin.

I have used Pearl as a venue for business lunches and dinners for over two years now, and I have never been let down. Always helpful, courteous, and discreet. The food is excellent, and the wine list will satisfy all tastes and wallets. Excellent value lunch and wonderful dinners, very good fish and shellfish, flavorful meat. Pearl have even accommodated a party of 13 at very late notice, a very well run venue.

Once again, Unilocal delivers. We needed another fancy night for our team dinner and Pearl Brasserie fit the bill. They were able to take a reservation for a party of 8 with barely three hours notice! and better, they found an alcove room where we could be our usual loud selves. A couple of us arrived early and sat at the bar. Only Heineken on tap but the red/white wine drinkers were still happy with their own decisions. While we looked over the menu, they brought out samples of their Mushroom Soup in small«espresso-sized» cups. Very hot, but yummy with a crème fraîche drizzle on top. Starters were across the menu, with the Crab Ravioli and a few of us bumped up the bill by going with the Pata Negra Ham(we’d seen it on display in the bar area). OMG, it was amazingly delicious, served with a great cheese and the restaurant’s cherry jam. I could have eaten two of them. Delish beyond words. For the mains, the«Aged Irish Beef» Fillet was ordered by four of us. Mine was a perfect rare that was melt-in-the-mouth tender. The Roast Venison Loin was presented beautifully and went down a treat. We had a few plates of veggies for the table — the green beans and the spring peas were nicely al dente, but the carrots were a bit on the mushy side. No desserts, though they looked really good. The coffee was excellent, though they only had brown and white sugar cubes — the one of us on a low carb diet was disappointed to have to use the little red doo-dad. Note — I am pretty sure the place is not wheelchair accessible. :-(

Restaurant en sous sol avec une superbe décoration. Le chef Sébastien Masi s’attelle en cuisine, plats raffinés un vrai régal. Tout est dans la dégustation des saveurs. Un peu cher mais à tester au moins une fois si on passé à Dublin
