The outside lighting of this building always endeared me to it but it’s a bit off the beaten track so today I decided to go for a wander. The most important tip of this review is that the outside door is very sticky so you need to push hard. Several times the waiter had to run after people who assumed that the restaurant was closed, so flex those muscles folks! € 15.50 is the early bird special which gets you a starter and main. I went for the caprese salad to start. The buffalo mozzarella was so moist and succulent and against the ripe tomatoes with just a drizzle of olive oil was a very refreshing starter. The portions were very generous. For main I got the lasagna al forno, simply wonderful as the picture can attest. My dining partner got the calzone prosciutto which was huge, it looked like a baby seal… To me at least. Coffee to finish which was perfect. Service fast, friendly and efficient. The interior is cosy with it’s rustic yellows and Italian tunes. My new go to Italian spot.
