C’est un peu cher mais on paie la qualite(bio gluten free etc) on est servi rapido et c est super pour un gouter. Les banquettes sont colores tout comme le reste du café. Je me suis prise un frozen yoghut c etait miam’miam !

So this place has 3 great C’s: cute, central and cheap. Their décor improved from the last time I popped in to take a look and now they have more wooden tables with cushioned chairs. There are original lampshades and stickers on the walls explaining the origin of their name PÓG = kiss in the Irish Language, and they sell closed sandwiches and cold teas. It can be hard to find a place to sit though depending on how busy it is so better to avoid in peak times. It is not the most silent place neither so I wouldn’t stop there if I needed to catch up with a friend as there is lots of the vroooom of the blender going on(smoothies on the making), but thankfully also some nice music. Their healthy options seem really nice and you can see everything being prepared as they have a kind of open counter, and everything is spotless. The salad and toppings seem fresh and if I ever go back, it will be for their green offers for sure. I noticed they have gift cards available, paleo cakes and intriguing post work out salads for those who like chicken(not my case) and a beetroot and goats cheese vegetarian one(which I like it). I ordered coffee, hot cocoa and 2 protein pancakes because I was craving pancakes and I had no idea of what they would taste like. Three toppings are included in the

This was my Valentines’ Day treat from the misses. I woke up keen for a nice posh breakfast, strong coffee, baguette, croissant, fruit salad, all that pretentious stuff what i like… but the missus was all like, «I have a surprise for you… we’re gonna have brunch in a new place this morning!» and I was all like,“what new place?” and she was all like,“You’ll see when we get there!” and i was all like,“Whatevs!” …and it turned out to be a place called POG! It was a lovely spot, just on Bachelors Walk, and the interior is lovely a colorful with some good tunes in the background. It was also the only place i could think of that would actually do a pancake short stack for breakfast… most other places in Dublin just go for the all Irish. The toppings are really good, the coffee was strong. The staff were mostly Brazilians… the dude with the tattoo on his arm from Curitiba was really cool, really personable. Only problem is that they serve protein pancakes, so they taste really odd, even with the toppings. Also, it was fairly busy, and there wasn’t enough seating to accommodate everyone… and the other members of staff(one a girl from Sao Paulo and the other a tall dude with a goatee) were alot less nice, and didn’t smile once. I might pop in some other time for a froyo… but ill pass on those protein pancakes. If you’re gonna have pancakes, none of this new age health nonsense for me… i want them done old-school!

First time for me this morning. I like their furniture style but I wasn’t impressed with staff serving skills. I ordered a mocha but i had to said twice, then the mocha itself tasted more a latte. It is possible they are better with other products, so I might go back again to have a try but not ordering a coffee. Nearby there are plenty of coffee shops.

So, what do I like about Pog? First of all, the location. Pog is located just in front of O’connell bridge which makes it an ideal city center location in Dublin. The 2nd thing I love about it is that the healthy options here are great! There are only a few places in the city that offer truly healthy meals, and POG has it! There are a few signature salads you can choose from on the menu and you also have the option of creating your own salad. Also a nice selection of froyo, smoothies, juices, coffee, tea, and I was surprised to see that they do Matcha Latte as well! And it’s quite good, which came as a nice surprise! The place has wifi so you can sit there surfing on the web while you enjoy your healthy meal! Only thing i felt was missing is that the door is sometimes open so the cold air comes in the café. It can make the place slightly chilly, so i would recommend for the owner to do something about that. Otherwise, I really like the place!

I quite liked Pog! The idea of custom salads from a huge selection of ingredients that usually aren’t at regular delis like chickpeas, smoked salmon, sweet potato is pretty cool! Best of all, it’s super cheap, I paid € 7.50 for a lettuce base salad bowl with 8 toppings. They mix all the ingredients and then place it on a cutting board and cut it rapidly with this boat-shaped two handle knife so everything is well mixed and bite size! They also have a good selection of dressings. The café is kept nice and clean, and they also serve a range of smoothies and frozen yoghurt. You can also get food to go. The only thing that didn’t get this a 5 star rating from me was that the service was not that great. But for a quick, cheap and healthy yet filling meal, I’d recommend Pog.

This is a great little spot to watch people go by in the very centre of Dublin city, particularly on a nice day if you get a seat outside. I just went for a smoothie on this occasion. I had been looking to get froyo but they had only the natural and peanut butter flavours left, and I much prefer fresh, fruitier flavours. The smoothie I went for was the Skinny Bitch, because it had the best ingredients, and was incidentally the lowest calories. It was really delicious. All the staff seem really lovely and were great to explain all the options. Prices aren’t too bad for what you’re getting either, though the juices seemed a little expensive. There was also a nice selection of bottled drinks and snacks for the health-conscious. I’d be back!

Third time I’ve been here and love this place. Ideal if you feel like something healthy and affordable. Their salads and frozen yogurts are so tasty and at very affordable prices. Place is small but very cute and staff is nice, will keep coming here.

After having this place bookmarked for a long time, finally got a chance to try it. It’s definitely five star and didn’t disappointed me. It took me a while to understand the menu and the staff was super patient explaining everything. I got a delicious green smoothie this time, will come back again to try the salads and juices!

I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while but was really underwhelmed when I finally went there the other day. It wasn’t very busy, midweek lunch time and the staff seemed bored. There was no greeting or small talk that you’d expect in a place like this when it’s died quiet and it’s lashing rain outside. Instead, the guy behind the counter kept staring at me while I read my way through the extensive juice and smoothie menu behind him. I really felt Iw as bothering him when I decided to try a coffee-based protein smoothie, the name I quickly forgot cause it wasn’t very good. Although it was said to have protein powder and yogurt in it, it was very watery bit big lumps of dates and little flavour. Based on that, I’m not sure if I’ll be rushing back soon to try their salads. Probably not.

Really needed some fresh juice since I was traveling and going every few days from places that were super hot to rainy and cold. Ordered a defender shot with ginger lemon and cayenne which was a spicy acidic icy shot. I personally loved it and thought it had a good stinger and kick to it. Plus I’m a huge fan of each of these items separately. One shot was 2.50 euros not bad! Then ordered one of their two most popular drinks, the«Get your green on» for 5 euros with kale spinach Apple parsley cucumber celery and lemon. Really generous portions for 5 euros and the drink was a nicely blended juice, instead of some shops who end up making a smoothie. Really good and so great that this drink had SO many greens! One con was that they didn’t have take away bottles which would have made traveling easier but a really small note! The place also had salads and froyo where you can customiZe or buy in already paired combos. All him faves!

Healthy, fresh and flavoursome food, smoothies and salads. It’s a young buzzy place, only two seats outside and inside consists of 2,3,4 and 6 seater benches. It’s all zero fat, no added sugar, all natural products.

Since I have been dying with flu the last few days and my appetite still was not fully back, I thought it a good idea to eat something healthy: soup and salad. And hey what do you know, I still had a voucher for this place, 5 euro for just what the doctor ordered. I got lovely spiced carrot soup, and my salad was pretty basic but big and very good. Why only 3 stars you think? I live right beside this place, and every time I go in the service is not that friendly. On this particular occasion, it was 16.50 when I walked in, and it says everywhere they close at 6. However, the girl was already cleaning out the salad bar, and was not at all impressed she had to make me a salad. hrmpf! Even if you close at 5pm, you should be able to still serve at 4.50, especially when it’s a take away order. I find them a little over priced as well. Their regular juices are quite small, and at 5 euro you can buy much bigger juices elsewhere. If you make up your own salad, it can end up quite dear as well, as you only get 3 regular salads and a meat for 6 euro and pay extra for everything else(the more ‘exotic’ salads/cheese’). I have tried their peanut butter frozen yoghurt as well, which did not at all taste like peanutbutter. shame. I will go back though, as in Dublin it is just quite hard to find healthy food places like this.

Have to say I’m a really big fan of this place. There aren’t many places around the city where you can get a really big healthy salad with everything you want or don’t want in it. I love the fact that it’s all spilled out on the board beforehand and chopped up so you get the perfect bite each time. I’m also a big fan of all the other extras they have on sale — healthy snack bars, juices, froyo, etc. The décor is spot on as well — bright, colourful, comfy, and great big windows looking out onto the quays. I’m a regular and will most certainly become more so in the coming ‘healthy’ months… ;-)

Great place to go if you’re looking for something quick and healthy. They do salads, juices and frozen yoghurt. You can make up your own if you like choosing from their long list of ingredients! They do a really good matcha latte too. I like mine with almond milk but they also have regular, coconut and soy to chose from.

POG is a new addition to the O’Connell Street area — a little spot on Bachelors Walk, right next to the Bridge. I came here for the froyo and — sorry to say — was not impressed at all. They had 5 different types(tried the Natural and Mango) together with 3 toppings(some fruit, sweets, sauces). Sadly both flavors tasted either blunt(Natural) and artificial(Mango). The toppings made me even more sad — three out of 5 fruits were not available(anymore?), and the sweets were put too cautiously onto the froyo by the girl at the counter. After all, I got a large portion of froyo that didn’t taste well, and only a few toppings. Disappointing. POG also offers salad which we didn’t try — see review below.

Very nice and yummy. Went there with a Groupon deal. Found the two girls working there really friendly and patient, especially with someone as indecisive as me! Lovely smoothie and will more than likely return!

Who knew peanut butter froyo was even a thing?! And, more importantly, who knew it was so tantalisingly tasty!!! So the froyo itself was insanely good, not too tart and not too sweet! I will say that I was a bit disappointed when I saw their selection of toppings though. A bit basic in my opinion(v healthy, but basic selection) Couldn’t fault their salads on the other hand –You get three salad toppings and one meat all chopped up and mixed for you for a sweet € 5.50. Oh and they are mahoossive. Wish they had a bit more outdoor seating for when you’re getting some froyo in the hot weather, but sure whaddyougunnado.

Póg is a relatively new healthy food café which I won’t be asking to póg ma thóin as I quite enjoyed my salad experience there the other day. The place is quite small with a few tables, chairs and a couch. I’m sure they are still teething but I’d hope to see more seating become available as they settle in — a breakfast style bar wouldn’t go astray and smaller tables would definitely make more sense than the large ones they have at the mo. The service was a little on the slow side — again teething but my chicken salad was worth the wait. It was so fresh and surprisingly big and I’ll be returning for more. The gals I was with that day also went for salads,(spicy chicken and super foods) which they both agreed were hearty and yummy. They also went for a smoothie and frozen yogurt afterwards which I was advised were also nom! When there I got to try their freshly made banana topped breakfast bar which was quite nice and which I would’ve enjoyed with a coffee which they also sell. The staff were nice enough. The interior is bright and airy — I do love the light shades. I’ll be back when I have a goo for healthy stuff.
