My favorite coffee place before work, can’t resist cappuccino with croissant or danish, also love their yummy looking caramel machiatto, but today i tried their Pistachio cream mocha from their new coffee range and it was to die for ! Staff is very friendly, nice interior and friendly atmosphere Sure you can’t beat Starbucks !!

Sat afternoon — queued for over 10mins. Not enough staff rostered on. And then when I get to eventually place my order I’m told their coffee machine is broken. Not good enough Starbucks. We shoulda been told this while waiting. Ended up taking a filter coffee and it was terrible. As an aside the furniture, lighting, toilets etc could all do with renovation/cleaning. If this is now what classes as a Starbucks experience, then guys you’ve really fallen a long way…

You always know what you’re going to get at Starbucks… It doesn’t need to be a bad thing… Like their coffees, so it’s good to get my fix here…

I don’t always shop at Starbucks and when I do it’s normally to try something different or an iced coffee and the majority of the time it’s a takeaway coffee. This is pretty pointless info about me. My stars are based not on the service which was ok. No smile when I couldn’t pronounce the name. No smile when I asked for the code to the toilet which my I add you’d expect to be spotless as there is a code needed but which smelt of ass, looked dirty and I don’t know what the feck was up with the mirror — yuk. Anyhoo my coffee was made quickly enough and it tasted ok. Not really my thing I suppose. Macchiato caramel.

I do like Starbucks I admit, one of my favourite cups of coffee that there is but my mine gripe is the price. Its just too much given the recession times we are in so I dont go to Starbucks as much as I used to. Still though a very enjoyable cup of coffee.

Staff at this Starbucks are quite unfriendly, but the manager is the worst! He snapped at me for no reason when I asked about Starbucks cards and I got the impression he didn’t want to be working there, he has no «passion» for Starbucks or coffee like they boast and should be replaced. Will not be going there again.

Coffee is still poor and the prices are crazy — € 4.50 for a regular coffee and a croissant! It was the only place open in Dundrum at 8.15 this morning! Staff were friendly, that warrants the 2 stars!

Familiarity breeds contempt, so it’s no surprise that I don’t like Starbucks. There’s a lack of flavour to every branch that even a corporate sell-out like myself can’t handle. On the other hand, Dundrum has a surprisingly poor selection of coffee shops. So, in my most pathetic caffeine-addict moments, I find myself here. My main gripe is the price. Starbucks is expensive compared to its competitors. And while that might have been excusable a few years ago, their competitors have long since caught up in terms of quality. If you can find one aspect of Starbucks products that they are ahead of the pack on, please let me know. They’re the best of a bad bunch; but there’s a lot of bad, and very little best.

Since the Starbucks inside the Hughes and Hughes closed at the end of October, this has become my new hangout if I’m not in the middle of town at my #1 favorite café. This is the Starbucks inside the Dundrum Town Centre, and I am a fan for 2 reasons: 1) I love people watching. This place is packed at almost all hours of the day, and there’s lots of energy and bustle in the place. 2) There’s plenty of power outlets if you grab one of the tables along the wall on the side of the café facing the service area. The service is friendly, they have the Starbucks drink protocols down(believe it or not, that shouldn’t be taken for granted), and they do a good job of keeping the tables clean almost as fast as people can get up and go, so even with the volume of customers, I’ve never had a hard time finding a seat. This Starbucks does have WiFi, through BT OpenZone, and the signal is generally pretty good. The staff is working on getting all their operations smooth, and sometimes the line can get too long and baristas have a tough time keeping up, but they seem to be improving this every week. It’s avery noisy environment, lots of kids and babies, but that works for me, so it’s not a drawback. It might be for others, so be aware. Bottom Line: It’s a Starbucks with power and wifi. What else could you possibly want to know?
