So whats the best place to have a sandwich to fight the hunger? Obviously SUBWAY! Well located in the centre of Dublin, great food and c’mon they have footlong sandwiches!

I went here for a drunken footlong at 10pm(don’t ask). I got the Italian bmt(omnomnom). While waiting, I commenced drunken banter with my fellow drunken subwayterians. In retrospect, I may have been the only drunk in this fine establishment. I asked where in Spain my neighbour in the queue was from. She said Poland. I said I’d never heard of that town.

Generally their service is fast, even if there is a line to the door, but the other day this was not so… me and another person were standing there saying«hello? Is Subway still open?»(it was close to 10pm) for about 5 minutes. When he came out there was no apology and it seemed like he did not care at all. I then asked for a veggie sub and he asked what kind of meat I wanted… listening skills. Sub was fine, but I then had the weirdest series of dreams and have always heard you have weird dreams based on what you ate before bed…

Subway Sandwiches has been in Dublin for a good few years now but the Subway shop in Westmoreland Street is new. I go there sometimes and get ‘sub of the day’ which is quite reasonable at € 2.99. My favourite would be Tuesday’s sub of the day which is meatball marinara. It’s really good. Thursday’s sub of the day, salami sandwich is good as well. They have a choice of breads from honey oat to wheat to white to hearty italian and herbs. My personal favourite is Honey Oat. I like Wheat as well. Subway Sandwiches is popular in Dublin .I think the Subwich Sandwich shop in Westmoreland Street will do well.
