Great cosy little pub with REALLY friendly staff. Myself and my mam went for some pub grub and they had a deadly little menu with a selection from steaks, lamb, stirfry to fish n chips. I had the starter of the hot wings. They were NOMNOMNOM! Mam had the chicken stirfry which was crazy delicious. Grand little local spot. Ill Defo be back

Located just off the N4 at the Liffey Valley exit the Deadman’s Inn is a very old pub, originally a coaching house for travellers from the West. They offer steak on a stone varying in price from € 18 for a 9oz sirloin up to € 25+ for fillet steak. The steak is brought cooking on the stone to your table along with chunky fries and side salad and a selection of sauces — pepper, garlic mayo and sweet chili. The steak was very tender and as I like mine rare I was able to remove it from the stone when it was cooked to suit my exacting standards, which I liked. The pub has two wood burning fires and the smell of burning wood permeates the place. It was very quiet on a Sat. night at 8pm so we had time to talk with the staff. They tell me their main trade since the new dual carriageway opened some time ago is lunches and I have been recommended to try their carvery which I understand from a no. of sources is very tasty and good value for money. I’ll be back to test it out and will update this review then. The two stars dropped are 1 because it was so quiet there wasn’t really an atmosphere no fault to the staff and 2 value for money I felt could’ve been better.
