I can’t say nicer things about the staff here and also a particular girl called Marta who absolutely took care of me the whole time

Pretty sure they have refurbished and had a name change(now called Marquees?). Extremely busy so sat at the bar. They serve Galway Hooker and few other craft beer offerings. Very friendly staff and very efficient. There is a view over the tarmac if you can grab a seat there. Price point is spot on compared to other airports. Food looks OK but served in different seating area.

Was surprised to see so many lower-star reviews for this place, but then again I only sampled the Kronenbourg 1664 — which itself was satisfying enough. A brief stop in here to catch up on some work and send a few emails turned into a good 2 hour stay thanks to a flight delay, however I was thoroughly enjoyed the setting and the people watching that the Garden Terrace provided. Modern and spacious, with an adequate selection of draft beer makes this a good spot for a pre flight tipple.

Place looks ok. Bar style with loud 90’music(Whitney Huston) rich menu, at least seems like it. Buffet style. I order scrambled eggs and baked beans. Scramble eggs looks like Lego blocks. I lost taste. I never ate worst eggs. I never made worst eggs. I never saw worst eggs. Beans were ok. You know why? Because you just cannot screw something that goes in the can. Did you ever wonder how taste nothing? I know. Go and try, try those«eggs». Also, I payed 4,95 for this. They should pay me for eating this. Thanks for the Burger King in front.

Distinctly average pub restaurant at Dublin airport however it is the only one I could see(the rest cafes) serving proper meals. Their Irish Breakfast at 12 Euros is absolutely massive(9 items + coffee/tea and toast) with fewer different items to choose from meaning you end up having 3 tomatoes, pieces of bacon or sausage when really you only need one! Their alternative of 1.80euro per item makes it much more expensive. The food is very average however all edible and would cure a hangover for sure! You don’t have much more alternative however I would definitely recommend and bacon sandwich from Starbucks than bothering with this place!

Terminal 1 — Dublin Airport. After having passed security the options for food/drink are really quite limited. I do usually end up in the Garden terrace as(I think) it’s the only place to get a hot breakfast. And they have plenty of seats(inside plus outside) Portions — BIG, Price — Bit expensive, Atmosphere — Hectic, Food — It’s food Sit, fill your belly and hope(no…know!) the food can only get better once you are abroad.

Finally manage to book a more relaxed flight so that i was able to avail of a nice chilled pint of bulmers and a tasty portion of chips. They changed their menu slightly and focused more on allergies and glutenfree item which is a big plus on my behalf . My only wish on that day would have been that it wouldnt have been raining and i could have enjoyed my pint on the terrace but well lets hope for next time !

Just tried this place once and in general it was OK. It is comfy place with plenty of seating and a garden area at the back. I used to go actually to burger king, because I always found the price here expensive… But if you have been to the terminal recently Burger King is closed… So I went to The garden Terrace to have breakfast. I found it strange that you need to queue and they serve it on your plate very quickly. No table service apparently? It was 11 euros and it was not bad. But the coffee was awful. No milk could fix it. I should have had tea instead. We got a table at the back of the room in front of the garden area, but inside. Many people come from other parts of the terminal only to smoke in there.

I’m sitting at my table and the first thing they brought out was not my order. The 2nd thing they brought out was not my order. But, I just ate it… tastes like nothing on bad bread. Go to Burger King.

Not a bad spot for an airport bar & restaurant. Of course its overpriced, but the standard of food was really good. And there was lots of it. I got the smoked salmon salad and there was masses of it. Staff were pleasant enough too.

Surprised at the bad reviews. My experience was quite different and enjoyable. I had the breakfast special with coffee for a decent price. I couldn’t stomach anymore airport fast food after traveling for a few weeks, so I was pleased this place was almost like home cooking. They even serve a traditional Irish breakfast if you want to eat that as your parting meal. The servers and workers were all pleasant and helpful, but maybe attitudes change as time passes… I was there at 5am! Its located on the second level across from Burger King, take the escalators across from Starbucks.

Came into this place with over an hour to go before our flight & found myself getting stressed at the length of time it took them to serve us our food. When they did come with the food they came with my dinner(a mexican burger) & nothing for my fiancé stating that since his salmon was cooked from raw it would be a few minutes longer(anyone who has ever cooked a salmon in their life would know this is BS but whatever). I had finished my food before his came out. For a mexican burger it was really tasteless, ended up smothering it in Ketchup(which is not something I tend to do). Apparently the salmon was decent, wait aside. Considering the extortionate price we paid(almost € 50 for 2 mains &2 beers) I was extremely unimpressed. When I mentioned to the waitress that it was unacceptable that the food came out late she just shrugged & repeated her rehearsed«Well it was cooked from raw so…» speech. Would I go back here? For drinks yes, as they have a great beer garden(and the only outdoor part of the airport) for food, not in a million years, there’s a Burger King next door to it, I’ll be eating there in future.

The best place to go for a fry in the morn when you are traveling from Terminal 1. It is all a bit chaotic and given that we are in an airport, so presumably most people are in a bit of a hurry, service is slow. leaving that aside it is comfortable and so long as you specify americano when ordering coffee(you get peculated crap at the same price otherwise), you’ll do fine. If you are a smoker, then the ONLY place you can smoke in Dublin Airport, is right beside it.

Avoid avoid avoid! I’m only writing this review because I feel like I need to warn everybody about how bad this place is. It looks nice and comfy, especially because Terminal 1 doesn’t many places to choose from, but the service is terrible and the food even worse. I NEVER had coffee so bad as the one I got served here. It was a(horrible) mocha and it ruined my mood for the evening. I had two sips and then I went back to the counter to leave it there, as it was absolutely undrinkable. Meanwhile my boyfriend ordered a burger, it was completely dry and came served with some disgusting greasy chips. To make matters worse his Bulmers was totally flat, I can’t even begin to imagine how they managed this feat. And obviously expect to pay a bit more than average for the«pleasure» of eating here. I will never go back, unless I *really* need to lay on one of their sofas.

i was so excited to try this place in the airport since it looks very nice and had a cool atmosphere compared to the rest of the stuff in the airport. i was even more excited when i got the look at the steak sandwich… as you can see for the photo i uploaded it looked awesome! my excitement ended after my first bit of the sandwich. the steak was cold and the meat was grizzle. the chips were not half bad but i came for more substance. to add insult to injury(and remove 2 more stars) the steak made me sick!!! i was up the entire night with food poisoning. the only reason i would go back to this place would be to drink i will not touch their food again.

Disgusting food. Rubbish service, bad staff except for the foreign girl. What an impression to give to people. Dublin airport needs some good restaurants. And a total rip off

The group I was traveling with stopped in for a few pints. The staff were not professional and left a lot to desired in the manners department. They were very pushy in the run up to closing time. Never again.

Once upon a time clearing security at Dublin International Airport any time before 7 and getting a good, hot breakfast off the main concourse felt like a treasure hunt. Nowadays The Garden Terrace, on the second level of The Loop’s shopping street, makes breakfast easy with a hot bar serving full Irish(complete with salty rashers and soaking mushrooms) on the long trek to the end of Pier D. My only question is: what took them so long? A dry boxed sandwich and scalding take away coffee from O’Briens is no way to kick off an international adventure. Relax in the moodily lit restaurant in your own booth or at one of the readily available tables, chew slowly and mentally prepare for the flight ahead. For those with a proclivity for the odd cigarette The Garden Terrace also offers an outdoor smoking area which opens at 6am, a shocking luxury in this age.
