If you are flying from Pier B, this is your last chance to get a steadying drink for your nerves. The Gate Clock is dark and informal, with a fair amount of high stools and tables constructed from barrels and a snug in the corner for the lucky group that gets in early enough. The prices are fairly high, but no more so than a city centre bar, and the Gate also does prepackaged sandwiches if you don’t want to brave the mediocre Corner Café across the way.

I love this airport bar! I just spent a few hours here the other day during my layover in Dublin Airport and had a few Guinness(shocker) and Smitwicks. The Guinness in Ireland is just so much better than it is in the States, so I just had to bite the bullet and exchange some of my money for Euros and down a few pints. The atmosphere is nothing special, but they do make it feel like you are in some old Irish pub… even though you were in an airport.
