I actually can’t rate this salon highly enough! Girls, and guys, stop what you are doing immediately and pay attention to this! I guarantee you will thank me later.
After years of painful waxing sessions at various salons around Dublin, a friend recommended going to Urbana for laser. I though no way could I, how painful! Boy was I wrong! I swear you will think they are paying me to say this (Chuckling) but I can almost guarantee that it is 99.9% LESS painful than waxing. Yes it is pricer, but the results are so worth it.
The salon is gorgeous, with a modern sleek design and state of the art medical grade laser machines which are used with ice cold air to divert any hint of pain!
I urge you to stop abusing your bodies with wax and check out laser!!! It is AMAZING!!!

I was looking for a Laser hair removal place so I started looking online. The reviews are really important to me and that’s why I chose to email Urbana. So many great feedbacks from customers, I was amazed!
1* For the responsiveness: I sent an email with a query for a quote and I got a call maybe an hour later. She had all the answers and a test appointment.
1* For the pricing :
120 euros for full legs
60 euros for bikini
40 euros for underarms
Package with all 3 for 160 euros instead of 220 euros !
I don’t know yet what I’m going to do, I am waiting for the test appointment. Also, I want to see the place and check how clean it is kept. This is not be taken lightly !

I was looking for a place to get laser and came across some good reviews about this place so I decided to try it out. After being what I felt somewhat scammed and overcharged by Therapie, I (and my wallet) was so grateful to find this place! After just 1 – 2 session there was huge reduction, and you pay per session so no silly contracts or being tied down to long courses.
The laser doesn’t touch your skin at all, instead it zaps you while blowing cold air to reduce pain (although it’s still quite painful but extremely effective). I had about 14 underarm sessions at Therapie which was not very effective, so decided to try getting top ups here, and after 2 it’s 95% gone now! They also offer waxing as well, but it’s doesn’t look like they have anything else besides hair removal; as in no beauty treatments etc.
The staff are always very friendly, on time or very little delay and professional. They also send a lot of appointment reminders, via email 4 days before, another one 2 days before and a text asking for confirmation a day before, which is handy since appointments can be pretty spaced out making them easy to forget. It’s always quite booked up, so I’d ring well in advance for appointments.
So far I’ve been here 5 times and overall, Urbana is best laser clinic I’ve ever been too. Also, if you are an RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons) student like me, you get 20% off! (can’t be combined with other offers)
By the way, there is only access via flights of stairs, there does not seem to be wheelchair access since its all upwards.

I was really worried about finding a new place to get waxed. I am mixed race and I have medium coarse hair. Actually there is a mix of hair types going on «down there» where I got waxed. Jenny was my esthetician and she was really great. She helped me to choose exactly which «style» of waxing I wanted, since we don’t have the «californian» and others in the states. At first I was put off that she talked so much, but I think that’s her jedi mind trick to get you distracted and calm. We had such a great conversation that I *almost* felt no pain. Jenny used different types of wax for different areas, which is exactly what I needed. She also let me know if/​when I needed to get other areas waxed that I might not be able to see myself (who knew?). She was very professional and also very personable and funny. If I were staying for longer this would absolutely be my go-​to waxing salon and I would request Jenny by name when making appointments because of her attention to detail.
The facilities are well kept, clean, and modern. It’s easy to miss the entrance on Wicklow, it’s just a door on the ground floor. The salon is actually on the second and third floor, so make sure to look for the sign on the north side of the street. I waited about 5 – 10 minutes when I arrived but everything went very quickly after that. The location is really handy, right in the city centre, so I was able to get waxed during my lunch break from work. My only beef would be the bright fluorescent lights on the ceiling in the waxing room. I had their shape burned into my eyes for about a half hour after leaving. Thats a super small gripe that I would put up with for another wax there, but maybe something they could fix in the future.

Earlier reviews describe Urbana in a lot of detail so I won’t wax lyrical about it (oh yeah I went there) but it’s a great salon. I’ve been to other salons that use Lycon, but even so, they don’t come close to Urbana.
They once accidentally charged my card for an appointment I had cancelled, but when I told them they instantly refunded me and gave me my next appointment free of charge which I wasn’t expecting at all.

I have been here 4 times now and each experience has been as wonderful as the next. Starting with reception, I am always greeted with a smile and I love that the staff uses my name when greeting me, it makes the service so much more personal. Each time I have received my service I have had Jenny as my esthetician. She walked me through the process the first time and was very friendly and chatty, which helped distract me and make me feel more comfortable.
The service is always prompt, I am never kept waiting. I was in for an appointment at 12:50 today and they took me in straight away. Jenny, friendly as she is, remembered me and we picked up conversation where we left off.
The best part is the salon has a buy 4 services, get the 5^th one free so I have earned a free service and with the price, it’s certainly an incentive. I will continue to go to Urbana and have already recommended it to friends!

I’ve just been back to Urbana for my second facial and received quite a shock. Again, I chose 6pm on a Friday evening and rushed there after work. I arrived a few minutes late to find out that my therapist, Jenny, was running approximately ten minutes late. This gave me a bit of time to wind down and read my current book «How Not To Write a Novel».
Jenny actually overran until 6.25pm, and even though the salon officially closes at 7pm, she was still willing to give me the full hour facial. We were in a room much smaller than last time but it was perfectly lit and just the right temperature. The facial really is personal; this time, Jenny concentrated on exfoliation and gave me two different face masks as well as a mini face massage. She also offered lots of sound advice on how to maintain her good work.
After an hour of bliss I went downstairs to pay at reception. They apologised for keeping them so late and using a small room, and gave me the facial for free. Now that’s what I call service.
