A little piece of home. As I am Danish it is always nice to be reminded of something from back home especially when you are living abroad and in Europe I can always seem to find a Vero Moda, a Danish brand that is always fashion forward but at reasonable prices. When I was living in Denmark I went there so much that I got a bit sick of the style but being away from it for a while I am starting to appreciate the Scandinavian Influence that can be seen in their designs. This is a somewhat small store but it has some nice things and you can come across some good deals once and a while, you just need to keep looking as they keep updating their seasonal collections.

I’m not that enchanted with Vera Moda at the moment. Too many boring pieces in neutral colours and this crowded shop makes browsing difficult. To counteract the lack of space, it has a tendency to put clothes up high on racks that are impossible to reach, making an awkward conversation with the sales staff a necessity. The changing rooms are right on the shop floor, so you might as well be trying things on behind a towel.

I do tend to find it hard to walk past this store and not to pop in. Aside from the fact that they seem to have a sale every other week, they’ve got great basics and some cute dresses. Kind of like Gap, only a bit more edgy and fashion-oriented. This particular branch is far from their best, being as it is rather long and narrow, which must be the worst layout for a clothes shop ever. They don’t do themselves any favours either if I’m honest. The shelving is very close together and the minute one person stops for a quick look at something that caught their eye, the whole shop comes to a standstill. Like if a car stalls at a traffic light. That being said, if you can catch it at a quiet time(though on Grafton Street that may be more of a pipe dream than anything) it’s worth perusing, as you may just find that perfect top to set off your pretty new skirt, or a scarf that exactly matches an outfit that you’ve never really been able to put together.

My favourite Vera Moda is on Henry Street, the clothes are well layed out and I can always get what I want here in the size that I want. Vera Moda clothes are very cheap and always bang on trend. They have a large selection of clothes, bags and jewellery and the prices won’t put a hole in your pocket!

I have been a fan of Vero Moda shops for a few years now. They offer affordable clothing for the independant woman who loves fashion and is a great place to go for a fashion fix. The pieces are always modern and up to date, and, really on trend and stylish as well. They sell everything from tea dresses in the summer to zip up cardigans inthe Winter. I suppose some of their stuff could be considered a bit boho, but I challenge you to go in and not find something you like at a decent price. Vero Moda originates in Denmark and I have been to Denmark and Sweden and Vero Moda is everywhere over there. I think, in general the fashion pieces translate pretty well over here, though, as with every shop, there are pieces that are not my style. Along with clothing, they also stock a collection of costume jewellery and a limited collection of shoes, scarves etc. Whilst some pieces are for the very young, I think there is something here for women of different ages. They do a limited amount of everything. so if you see something you like, it is best to buy it straight away, or it may be snapped up.
