Not great. Stays open due to students in UCD. Their chicken is minging. Everything seems like it’s cooked in dirty oil. Not a fan. Staff are friendly. 3 in 1 is ok.

I love this chinese, it has the name right in the title! From the first time I tried this chinese I knew it had this sort of extra taste that you don’t experience or taste with other chinese takeaways. Yumi is different I definitely recommend their Curry Sauce, Chicken Balls, Fried Rice and Chips they are to die for!

Chinese and Thai takeaway in bird avenue beside the spar shop. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Would recommend the chicken curry and the pad Thai. Both are simple dishes done well. Good portion sizes and their chips are also really good. Perfect hangover cure is their 3 in 1.

Late night editing thesis… need food… have seen takeaway near here… OK So I nipped out to the local Chinese takeaway to grab some dinner. I find myself pretty much not impressed. Firstly I ordered chicken satay and got given beef. Of course I didn’t realise this until after I had got back to my office and then just wasn’t arsed going all the way back down and complaining. I don’t hate beef as much as some people so I thought it might be ok… I found myself reminded of why I don’t generally order beef in unfamiliar or low-price eateries– the quality of the beef was awful and I ended up throwing a lot of it out. The sauce was ok, so I don’t know if the chicken version would have been much nicer or just as awful, but I don’t think I can bring myself to try again. There’s another Chinese nearby and I hear that’s better, so I’ll try that next!

Yumi indeed! I remember studying late into the evening in UCD then I would start the walk home out the Clonskeagh entrance of Belfield heading for the bus stop at the end of Bird Avenue. I would be starving and did not feel like making dinner when I got home so this Chinese was perfectly placed to nip in and pick up something tasty to reward my hard work of the day! Now I don’t know if the fact that I was always super hungry influenced how it actually tasted(sometimes anything tastes good when your that hungry!) but i always enjoyed the food from here. Only problem was having to wait till I got home to eat it, can’t eat rice and things with my fingers! Well, I suppose I could but I’d look a bit mad!

Yumi’s was a favourite take away of mine while I was studying in UCD. Pretty good value and the menu for two is delicious.
