Absolutely love Zaragoza. The service is noteworthy as not many places around Dublin have the competency and awareness of how the service can actually REALLY impact the overall experience of dining. The staff are efficient, attentive and overall very friendly and welcoming. The food is always delicious with a good selection of tapas available The only criticism I would have is a glass of wine is slightly pricey. But the standard and quality of the drinks are well done.

Awesome food and very nice restaurant. The service was a little slow but the food made up for it. The paella con chorizo was delicious! Make sure to get a few plates to try and sample. The food was really good, and overall a good place to try when in the area.

The place is bright and airy, a great place for two or with a group of friends! A good playlist of music always playing moderately in background. The wait staff is personable, attentive, and quick in spite of it being busy. We chose a few different dishes during our mutiple visits, and all the food was great and well presented.

Tapas in Ireland? Absolutely! Everything we ate was delicious and the staff is super friendly. Also — Sangria was great too!

I love tapas and enjoy the real thing in Spain every time I happen to visit any part of that country. Its not something that seemed to travel that well to Dublin but there has been an explosion of tapas places in the past few years. Zaragoza is one of the new kids on the block. Its very modern in style and fairly big– it’s bigger inside than I expected. We went on a Wednesday evening and it was moderately busy. It stayed steady all evening and there was a nice buzz about the place. We chose a lovely Albarino to drink. We chose a few different tapas including prawns with chorizo, lamb, patatas bravas and a couple of other dishes. We enjoyed everything and I found all the food to be full of flavour. We finished with an espresso martini which were so delicious, we had to order two more! Our waitress was from Croatia and we loved her. She was attentive despite being busy. She had a great sense of humour too. WE both enjoyed Zaragoza and I would definitely return.

Headed here last Friday night. Brilliant atmosphere, super friendly staff and amazing food. The décor is gorgeous and I really liked the look of the closed off area for private groups. I’d recommend the gambas con chorizo to anyone!

Oh this place is just gorgeous and I cannot wait to get back! We visited Zaragoza on the Dublin Tapas Trail night with Unilocal and I was blown away by the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The layout is stunning to look at and has that really classy, inner city feel to it that I love. The staff we’re lovely too and great with the service. The food was just spot on, very tasty and beautifully presented. The bathrooms were clean and tidy(something I actually find really frustrating is a nice restaurant that doesn’t pay attention to their facilities) and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. We’re planning a night back at Zaragoza and can’t wait to bring the friends.

The place is an absolute beauty! From the outside it looks so small, but you step in and it’s huge! The decorations are beautiful as well. Such a bright and airy place to enjoy a nice dinner with friends! We had some starters and wine! There was a goat cheese phyllo dough nugget, meatballs brava, and chili shrimp. The goat cheese was delicious! Creatively coated in honey and perfectly crisp on the outside, while warm and creamy on the inside. The meatballs were in a delicious sauce, but a bit tough themselves. The shrimp were fresh, but a little over cooked! I will be back for the awesome location and to try more of the mains! I think my friends would love this place!

Didn’t know what to make of this place. I found the décor and layout quite impersonal. It was very noisy too so difficult to have a conversation. The food was fine no complaints, I am quite a plain eater though so probably am not the best judge of Spanish cuisine. The staff were very friendly though they made the experience a lot more enjoyable.

I’m confused by this place. Walking in you’ll be convinced that it’s part of a chain of restaurants but apparently that’s not the case. The décor is… interesting. I wouldn’t normally associate tapas with this style and everything felt a bit plastic. Maybe if this was a different kind of food they were serving I’d have gelled with the interior more. The food is good, nothing that blew me away but it was good quality. The value is decent, € 14.95 nets you 2 mains, a side & tea/coffee. I had calamari, prawns & patata bravas and everything was good but the flavour or presentation just didn’t jump out at me. The question I ask myself when I’m unsure like this about a restaurant is will I be back again? And the answer is… maybe. In short: Oddly styled tapas restaurant that does decent valued, decent food.

If you are going there looking for a Spanish food and Spanish tapas it is not the correct place. This place the only spanish the they have is the beer ‘San Miguel’, few expensivea spanish wines and expensive and tiny not typical tapas(actually not as much variety neither). I recommend it as a good decoration restaurant and good staff but not if u are looking for a Spanish restaurant.

Fab Tapas with Nordic décor & surroundings, great portions and awesome presentation. The food was perfect: Cod starters tempura and fried with potatoes with Pork and chorizo stew for main and mixed salad for balance. Best meal in a long time. We shall return.

I am nuts about tapas and I must say this place delivers on all counts! I love the layout very New York modern style! It’s a tapas bar for all, young, old hipster or normal and this is probably especially what I like about it! It’s hard to find a «generic restaurant» in Dublin these days! Anyways down to the food! delish! The portions are HUGE the pricing is typical of a tapas bar which in most are usually quite small! It’s spacious, comfortable with excellent service and every time I’ve been the food comes out almost immediately which for me is very important! All very generic tapas which is not s bad thing in my book! I would definitely give it s try!

I visited Zaragoza with a large group… Whats to say that’s not been covered in the other reviews… This is clearly a Tapas restaurant that has been devised for scale, over originality or authenticity. It was Saturday, we arrived it was busy, buzzing and casual, service was friendly at the table, if patchy and too casual at times — however, one thing that was consistent was the staff’s desire to trample over any customers that get in their way — I don’t know, are you really so busy that when you see a customer coming your way between tables to visit the bathroom that you must charge them and force the customer to step out of the way? That just seems, i don’t know, rude? Ill Mannered? There where a few times throughout the meal where service was fast paced to the point of rudeness, which was a shame. I also found the Tapas«just for me» approach to be a bit strange, small plates at each place setting where cleared after Pinchos and then the main tapas dishes where served without small plates to allow sharing and mixing of flavours, and without serving spoons to facilitate sharing, it felt at odds with the point of going to a Tapas restaurant, as was everything coming at more or less the same moment. Foodwise, I had stuffed peppers with avocado and lobster mayo, which consisted of two tiny peppers with a fridge cold filling, that appeared grey and tasted rather bland. The rice, pumpkin and egg risotto was much tastier. I also sampled the calamari, which tasted of nothing; a meatball that had the hard on the outside, dense uniform consistency inside of mass produced factory meatballs that had been batch cooked, kept warm and introduced to the sauce at the latest possible moment; Rice with Vegetables was a reminder of Nandos(and not the only one in a restaurant that just feels to on brand to be a one of). I left feeling I had an OK dinner nothing remarkable, and that the overall experience was disappointing without any really defining good point, apart from a feeling of being slightly ripped off, and feeling that I had eaten in a fairly unremarkable chain restaurant that is aiming to satisfy the masses, rather than be true to it’s chosen food style, or authentic to the style of dining it is representing. There is better tapas in Dublin, and there are better«on-brand» dining experiences if your looking for a safe choice — to be honest there was a feeling of tourist trap tapas restaurant, like you can easily find on the main«cost del package holiday» strip, not that there is anything wrong with that, for the right price and in the right place.

Hit and miss for me. Some of the tapas were great, I especially liked the albondigas and spinach & goat’s cheese pastries. But overall I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the place. I think it was the atmosphere, Zaragoza is big and bright and not really the sort of place where you go for a meal where you and your partner are dipping in and out of each other’s food. There are better and worse tapas places in Dublin.

The rice wth pumpkin, poached eggs, and soft cheese is the best. Good vegetarian, meat, poultry, and fish options! Slightly large tapas size

I had the impression that I was in that kind of place that you bring your family on a Sunday lunch after church, it’s lovely, don’t get me wrong, very spacious, lots of families there. We waited 30 min for our order, tapas were good, but I have been in better places. Might come one day with family, but not for a romantic dinner.

Went there for lunch, Restaurant is elegant and refined. I got early bride for 17 ish €, 3 tapas and 1 side. Food was good and tasty, nothing outstanding but good, I’ve ordered calamary, prawns, salmon toasts. However the main downside was the price of the sangria: 40 euro ok, maybe I didn’t check carefully the menu but I couldn’t expect 40 euro for a jar of sangria.

In a city where you can’t turn a corner without seeing another tapas restaurant, and with The Port House just down the street, Zaragoza has some stiff competition. I came here on a Sunday for a late post-shopping lunch, and on offer was a «choose 3 items for € 15» deal, so I went for it. One glance around at the modern airy décor and the families dining inside, and I got the feeling it wasn’t going to be the most authentic Spanish food. That was ok with me — I wasn’t looking for a complex dining experience. Just a quick bite. That being said, I just couldn’t get over how bland everything tasted. Everything could have used more salt. The paella had no discernable flavour or texture and was lukewarm at best. The patatas bravas sauce was exactly the same bland red sauce my meatballs were swimming in. I was disappointed with the meal overall, but it wasn’t inedible, and I enjoyed the bright airiness. It was perfect for sipping my wine and reading my book on a sunny afternoon. I wasn’t offended by Zaragoza, but I wasn’t excited by it either.

Went there as a group of 6 on a Tuesday evening — wasn’t too packed but then again, the restaurant was quite sizeable and a lovely«conservatory» spot which I think will be lovely when it’s sunny. Food was great — bigger portions than usual tapas plates I’m used to. They did advise ordering 2 tapas per head which is about right. The maître d seemed quite knowledgeable about wine and recommended a good bottle. Service by the other waiters were a bit haphazard though especially after the maître d finished his shift at 10 pm. He did not know what a Cointreau was nor the fact that Riesling is a white wine… Or am I just being snobbish? One star lost there. Will visit again at some point but Port House still wins hands down.
