Really enjoyed this for a quick stop — had a delicious pint and possibly more delicious and elaborate Playwright salad, which was a surprise. Only concern is a pint and a salad came to about € 14 — seemed a bit much, but I’m not sure they heard me order the ‘small’ salad! Very nice place though.

We had stopped into Kilkenny to tour the castle and needed a bite to eat. This turned out to be a really cool pub to stop into. We enjoyed the food and the company, plus the building was really neat to check out. It just kept going from the main street until you stepped out into the alley, which turned out to be filled with lots of neat shops, too!

Wait staff very friendly and knowledgable. Have a great happy hour between 7 – 10 beers 3.50 €. The inside is a tradition pub with open air bar on the back side. In the heart of Kilkenny city centre. Def be back

I loved the atmosphere in the bottom level where it looks like a cavern. They hold a special for 10 euro, you get a burger and a pint of beer. The burger was an ordinary burger, not too bad, not too good. But I assure you, it is quite large. This was a pleasant surprise
