I love love it ! Extremely friendly staff !! The guy serving us was the best ! Made conversation with us and walked us to the door on the way out and all ! Excellent customer service ! He insisted we took our time looking through the menu etc. Advised on the beers and all ! Wings for starters were great and I ordered the special. which was a Christmas dinner pizza ! Turkey stuffing and cranberry sauce was delicious and I added avocados ! So so good Highly recommend and I’ll be back

The Revolution was exactly the kind of restaurant my friends and I needed after a long day of exploring Dublin. Besides having excellent food, one of the best things about The Revolution is that fact that you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. The owners, Paul and Kristin, are so friendly and accommodating, and their staff is extremely knowledgable about the entire menu as well as the extensive and diverse beer list — not your average run of the mill kinds of beers, either! Even though we were tourists in Dublin, we felt right at home. And the food! Our table of 6 shared quite a few plates, which I would highly recommend because everything is so unique and delicious. We started with: — pan fried calamari — expertly fried(crisp but not overdone), super fresh tasting — chorizo mac & cheese — a nice spin on a classic; perfect warm, cheesy comfort food for the rainy evening — slow cooked chicken wings — we got the buffalo version, which were JUST spicy enough; a great pair with a cold beer or two… For pizzas, we split the Local, the Big V and the Basil Fawlty. All had excellent crust, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside — perfected California style stone baked pizzas. The toppings were plentiful. My personal favorite was the Local, though we were a split table between all three. I know we had dessert, I think the chocolate espresso cake, but I can’t remember because I had already fallen into a deep, blissful food coma. I do remember not wanting to share, though.

Butter. Scotch. Pudding. Got that? Good. I could go on forever telling you of the wonderfully friendly staff, the pop-up like surroundings or the great atmosphere. I could tell you about the wonderful pulled pork sliders I had, nearly toppling over had it not been for the wooden steak holding their contents together. Or even the gorgeous taco’s we had for € 4 each on Taco Tuesday(recommended!), three each and we still probably could have had another. No, let me instead tell you of the most beautiful desert I have ever had… the butterscotch pudding. A three-hit combo of pudding/ice cream(maple, I think) and hot chocolate sauce that feels like so sugary, so bad… but so right… I dream of going back there simply for the desert. You should go, simply for the desert. Whenever the wind blows, I will hear the name: Butterscotch Pudding.

Very nice pizza place in Rathgar. We came in because there was a fire at Monelli’s & Coman’s. The place is very clean, and the staff is quite friendly. The owner Paul is quite accommodating. I had a salad and the mac & cheese. Loved it. My husband ordered a fire baked pizza and he said it was very good. They offer beer, wine, and dessert. We look forward to going back

Finally made it here last night after looking in the window for months! We were there just after opening at 6 so very quiet at that time. Waiters were great and were happy to recommend beers and menu items. We had the calamari and the pork sliders to start. Both were excellent. Shared a spicy pizza which was plenty for us. Top class pizza. I changed to wine with the main and again the waiters recommendation was spot on. Highly recommend, looking forward to going back

Best California style wood fired pizza I’ve had since I left there(Bay Area) 12 months ago, to return back to Dublin after many years there. Dined alone, sat at counter and received a great welcome from Kristin and Paul who’d never laid eyes on me. They have customer service down and know how to welcome and receive guests with a view to guests actually wanting to come back for more great welcomes and awesome pizza. Had the BIG V(veggie pizza), it was to die for:)! As I was dining alone they offered me the option of a smaller pizza(9′ v 12′) and it was so good I ate every last piece. Kudos to the Chef, Arianno(sp?), he know’s how to make beautiful pizza. I can’t recommend this place enough. Long may awesome pizza, made with quality, beautiful, fresh ingredients, served up with a large dose of friendly customer service last in Rathgar. Keep up the great work, Paul and Kristin, and the lads and ladies working to keep Rathgar customers pizza happy.

Excellent restaurant — cannot recommend highly enough. Food: There were four of us. Starters were all excellent, with the chicken wings and the calamari coming in joint first, followed by a delicious sliders and very good portobello mushrooms. Mains — The pizzas were superb — great base and very good sauce — they are reason alone to come to this restaurant. They had a chicken burger as a special that they should really add to the menu full-time as it was delicious. Desserts — we were all too full for desserts but we did order a bottle of a caffeine type beer(13% alcohol) and we shared it as a dessert. Beers — a large selection of craft beers but none of them really blew me away. The wine was good and good value too. Will definitely be back –quite a small restaurant and a huge number of people were turned away on the night so bookings essential for weekends. There are seats at the bar too.

The Revolution is here and it is happening right now! I have so many good things to say about this place I don’t even know where to begin. Maybe if I break it down into sections it’ll help: — Staff 11⁄10 — Décor and ambience 12⁄10 — Food 13⁄10 Eating at The Revolution is like eating at your best friends house, except the food is ten times better. I felt so comfortable being there, from the naturally warmed room due to the open pizza oven to the funky selection of music, my visit was a good one. I met Paul there, the owner, and he could not have been more helpful. It was obvious he knew the menu inside out and was able to rattle off some great info about what accompanying beers would suit my food choice. I know this sounds cliché but I honestly couldn’t choose from the menu because there was so much I wanted. In the end(after a few games of rock paper scissors with myself) I decided to get a main course AND a ‘big bite’ which looked, in terms of portion size, like something between a starter and a main which I thought was a really cool idea. You could choose from this list if you were a bit hungry but not starving. I was starving though so I ordered the mac & cheese with smoked chorizo. Sweet merciful jesus it was one of the nicest things I’ve ever eaten. Thinking about it now makes me want to throw my laptop on the floor and sprint back for another taste. For main I ordered a pizza with caramelized onions, bbq dressing and pulled pork. Yes you might read pulled pork and say in a whiny voice ‘oh wow pulled pork, how original’, well it was. Just like you and everyone else, I’ve had my fair share of pulled pork over the last year but this stuff was beyond tasty. I’d almost ring them up and get them to change the menu to ‘super special pulled pork’ as it would be more apt. As you can probably tell by now I enjoyed the pizza a lot. I also thought it was a really nice touch that you could see the chef making the pizza from scratch and cooking it right in front of you. For busier times there’s even a cool bar counter area right in front of the stone oven pizza with high stools where you can watch the dishes being created, almost like a live episode of Masterchef(but with better chefs and food). I’ve been there and I’ve been back and I’ll go back again. This is what a real revolution looks like.
