I stayed in Roundstone for 4 nights, and ate at Shamrock each night. The seafood chowder and the stir fried noodles with prawns are both excellent. A deservedly popular pub.

We eaten here several times when on visits to Roundstone. The seafood dishes are always perfectly cooked with the chowder being my favourite. It’s made with real fish stock and isn’t thickened with flour or an excess of cream. Plus, there’s no silly calm shell skulking around at the bottom of the bowl. Good selection of craft beers and the atmosphere is authentic.

Great country pub, hospitality abounds. Great Craic and atmosphere. Able and welcoming staff and locals. A must stop and stay a while.
Roundstone is a beautiful small fishing village set on the rugged coast of Connemara. Incredibly scenic area. Well worth spending some quality time
