Sweet adorable restaurant down a sweet alley… Wonderful service… friendly…the fried bread was the best which is complementary along with a glass on Preseco. The food was good but not outstanding. We order the special and perhaps that was our mistake. I would say it’s just okay!

This is a very nice small restaurant, with a happy, engaging staff who speak English. It is a five minutes walk from the Bernini Palace Hotel and just a bit further from the Uffizi. It clearly merits the walk. The night we ate there(a weeknight in October), it was about ¾ full. The staff consists of two attentive and friendly waitresses and the chef. The kitchen is open at the rear, so you can watch him prepare your food. The food itself is very tasty and looks, and is, made fresh before your eyes. Everything was excellent. The wine list has many choices and when I asked for a recommendation, our waitress selected a mid-priced wine(which indeed was excellent). This is a sure sign of an honest establishment. Among the many restaurants we visited in Florence, some much more expensive, this one had the best food. I give it 4 stars instead of five because I am a tough grader. I recommend you pay them a visit.

This place is on a little side street with not much a signage to locate it. My wife and I were touring with an excursion group, as we were walking toward the lunch dismissal point, the Unilocal recommend logo caught my eyes as we walked passed it. As soon as we were dismissed, I grabbed my wife and dash toward the place. Unlike most other restaurants, this place has no outdoor settings, AND it was air conditioned! Thank goodness. When we went in, the atmosphere was very homey. There was only one server, but she was friendly and very helpful for us clueless tourist. Food came fairly quickly, and boy were they crazily good. They were not fancy, but simply delicious. From the first course to dessert, they all leave me wanting more(not really, because then I wouldn’t be able to get to dessert). We were there late, so we were the last to leave, and I had a chance to have a good chat with the owner. He is friendly, and talking to him make me feel like I have just been a lunch guest to his own home. If we are ever back in Firenze, we will come back, because there are so many dishes we wish we could try.

Had the best Tuscan food here. Wild boar pasta, salmon, chicken crostini, good house wine. Good soups which is a rarity! Highly recommended.

The service here is excellent and the food is amazing! If you want to try the 1kg florentine steak, Be prepared for MEATOVERLOAD! They also have lovely fish and other dishes, but I went here for a meat coma. Served super rare and grilled hot, 2.2lbs of beef on a t bone is handed to you. I died. It’s been days and I still feel it hahaha… I loved the appys and the fish dishes looked amazing! Service is spectacular the staff are very friendly and knowledgable locals who have good ideas for good priced and tasty wine! Prepare to spend roughly 60⁄2 people eating a pound of meat each and wine and accoutrements. Photos to come! They cut me a Chunk as big as my face…

This the second time in a week that we’ve been here, and the food continues to amaze, but also excellent was the service. Food, wine, service all added up to a wonderful dining experience. Prices are in line with most other dining establishments in the area, 70 euros for 2.

This is certainly a gem of a spot and also not the 4 euros sign next to this places description. The prices were reasonable and it was off the beaten path in a dark alley way. We found this place by recommendation from a foodie friend of mine and boy are we glad we listened to him. The restaurant itself was not glitzy which I did not mind since I felt it made it even more homey and less touristy. The menu was extensive and the service was great. The food was so delicious that we wished we could keep on ordering and eating. However, our stomachs were full and we had to stop. We started off with the chicken liver crostini. The plate came with 6 crostinis and they did not skimp on the liver. It was delicious since it was hot and the crostini was crunchy. For our primi we shared the seafood tagliatelle. The tagliatelle was cooked to perfection. Not overdone one bit and the seafood was so fresh. My husband ordered the veal bone marrow which was soooo tasty and meaty. I don’t think it was necessarily bone marrow but the menu said it was. I ordered the stewed boar meat and it was flavorful and juicy. We were both really happy with our choices. We finished with their tiramisu which was very different than any tiramisu we had ever had — it was more fluffy and light. Delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who asks!

What a great find! Thank you Unilocalers. A family-run, warm place with great servers and great food. The smoked salmon marinated in ginger root, pink peppercorns, and olive oil was innovative and out of this world. The pasta with tomatoes, white anchovies, and capers also yum. Looking forward to going back!

We visited this cozy little restaurant on the recommendation of our Florentine friends, so we knew it had to be a good choice. It was one of my favorite meals of the trip because it felt so authentic… like my long lost Italian nonna was firing something up in her kitchen just for me. My husband found it a bit TOO simple, and wanted a bit more flavor and seasoning on his dishes, but for me the ingredients were so high quality that I didn’t miss a smothering sauce or a lot of salt. We had the tagliatelle with wild boar and the same pasta with squid. As you can see from my photos, they’re very lightly dressed so the emphasis is totally on the ingredients. The wild boar could have been a tiny bit more tender, but the flavors overall were delectable. We were pleased to see a unique dessert offered here… we had a very rustic and simple apple tart with fig jam, which I loved because it wasn’t too over the top sugary. It almost felt like something you’d have for breakfast rather than an indulgent after dinner treat. All of this was paired with some wonderful Chianti and matched with attentive and friendly service. An absolutely wonderful experience that I won’t forget!

We went to I’ Che’ C’e C’e on a day trip to Firenze. It was fantastic! A tiny little restaurant in an alley, it’s unlikely that a tourist would stumble on it while walking about the avenues of Florence, but hopefully these positive reviews will help attract more visitors. We had a light antipasti, a simple pasta dish, and the venison. Each dish was absolutely spectacular. They had the accessibility of a home-cooked meal, but, oh, I’ve never had Italian food so bursting with flavor and texture. The server(whose name I missed, unfortunately) appeared to be family. She was there when we needed her, and not there when we were enjoying the food. Highly, highly, recommended.

We had a fabulous dinner here. The only reason I can’t give it five stars is because there might be a better place in Firenze… but I’d need a few more weeks to find it. Excellent food, good service, great atmosphere, no tourist vibe.

This was my favorite dinner on our recent trip to Florence. It’s a small family style restaurant. Truly a Firenze trattoria. I started with homemade ravioli. Very fresh — in a great pink sauce. We also had a large bowl of the minstrone soup with lots of vegetables. For dinner I had the beef drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinager! ITWAS phenomenal! The servers were great and the chef came out a few times to talk to everyone. Super nice. I would highly recommend I’ Che’ C’e C’e to anyone who wants a great trattoria in Florence.

This family run local restaurant is a quintessential Firenze trattoria and a must try on any visit to the area. Closed Monday and only open for dinner in the evening, the food and experience are well worth the effort to find the little treasure and savor the experience of enjoying whatever is coming from the kitchen that night. Mama greats the guests, Papa mans the stoves, and friends and family fill this small restaurant with great ambiance. Outstanding local fare and a great experience for half the price of a tourist spot! Only a little English is spoken. You point and smile and laugh and eat. It’s wonderful.

4.5 stars Can’t remember how we started frequenting this locale… Ok, it was the 90’s When you walk in, there’s no indication how delicious the meal would be… I fondly recall the lemon sorbet served in a lemon… Recently, a co-worker went to Florence… upon my recommendation, she visited and enjoyed a meal there…

This is a wonderful little trattoria hidden on a small street where you’re as likely to run into locals as well as tourists. The owner is very friendly and will come out to greet the guests. He is also a big fan of baseball and has many different MLB hats on the shelves. We had a great wild boar pasta. For secondi, we had a lemon caper salmon dish that was very light and savory. The tiramisu was great as well. Highly recommend this place.

I had a dream last night that the chef/owner of this place was visiting the US to cook here. I was disappointed when I woke up and realized it wasn’t true.
