Run by the same family for 4 generations, it was perhaps our most pleasant eating experience in Florence. The food was great (we had the classic Firenze steak as our main course) and despite the language barrier and how busy it was, the service was not only prompt, it was very warm. I think we were the only tourists in there that night, and yet felt like we were in our local fave spot. And yes, they fitted us in somehow even if we had no reservations. They could have had sharper steak knives, if I have to mention any cons. They are easy to find as they are steps away from the Central Market.

Fantastic little trattoria to grab a quick lunch or sandwich. Always packed and sometimes difficult to get a seat at the wall bench. Can be confusing if you don’t know where to line up and who to order with. Pay after eating if you’re sitting. I usually get the pasta ragu which is super delicious, their bean and vegetable plate is quite nice and standard. Good value.

I’ve been coming here for years. Went 5 years after studying in FI and they remembered me. Have come back almost once a year ever since. Lunch: get the tortellini al ragu or in brodo… Doesn’t matter which, they’re both incredible!
