This is the pizza napolitana that I have been dreaming of, in the pizzeria ambiance that I have been imagining… meaning no-frills, no hype, no 2 hour wait standing outside on the sidewalk beacuse it shows up as #1 pizza in Napoli on Unilocal and in guide books as the ‘gotts go to pizzeria’ that always ends up being overrated. The family(literally, the pregnant wife with her little 2 year old son at the cash register), and the husband, the brothers, uncles, cousins, you name it, working in the various other positions. The pizzaiolo was a quite young one, maybe 23 or 24. He was throwing down some God-dough, that kid was. Just order the margherita, pure perfection. THREEEUROS. Or go luxe with the DOP version for…*gasp* FIVEEUROS. The crust is perfect, with little slightly burnt puffy bubbles from the wood burning oven. We also tried the frittura each time we went there. ok 3 times in 3 days :/it was perfectly seasoned and crispy, even the calamari were biteable(versus like rubberbands if overdone as is often the case). It was not up in the tourist area but in a living, working neighborhood, so it was lovely that there was never a wait. No menu in English, yeah. No parlo americano! I am already planning a trip back to Napoli and the first place I will go to is Pizzeria 900!!! Ok, maybe I will have to have an espresso first around the corner… Check out my pic of the ‘Obama’ pizza. Those kwazy Italians! OH!!! But be CAREFUL in the toilets! My poor boyfriend got locked in the toilets(LOL I laughed at him so hard…) for about 10 minutes as the door handle was broken: OP I was like, what the hell is he doing in there, having a massive diaper blowout or something? It was hilarious, but probably not for him hehehe.

Le décor importe peu ici, ce qui compte c’est la cuisin. La pizza napolitaine y est reine. Pâtes aux vongoles délicieuses également. Endroit familiale et au prix dérisoire(4 € la grande pizza)
