Outstanding pizza. If you’re near the train station in Naples and you’re just passing through to get to the airport or to your next stop, definitely cross the street from the train station. You’ll see it across from the parking lot of the train station. We were initially confused when attempting to find it using our Google Maps. We ordered the margherita and my wife ordered a sausage pizza. Both were excellent and well made. Service was good and the downstairs has AC if you’re in the area during a hot time of the year. Great value as you will end up paying a lot more for something this good if you’re on your way to the Amalfi Coast. This is also a great alternative to walking all the way to the other well known pizza places like Michele and others. Because if you’re lugging a suitcase, you definitely don’t want to be dragging that through the side streets of Naples!

I absolutely LOVE this place. If you are passing back through Rome from Pompeii and need a quick meal before the next train, this place is right outside the station, cheap, and delicious! The crust here is wonderful and chewy. Salted perfectly and so delicious. It’s really thin on the bottom… Truly a knife and fork pizza! There are way too many types of pizza you can get. Given how overwhelming it is, I stuck to something simple and got the Margherita Verace, which was mozzarella, basil, and juicy tomatoes. It’s quite a soupy pizza, which is to be expected from what I hear. My buddy got the funghi and added cheese. Yum. Service was so very nice. Small place to eat that also has free wifi! NO credit cards! A perfect, quick stop over to say you’ve had some Napoli pizza.

Ruuuuuuude. The waiter who greeted us at this pizzeria was incredibly rude. Like ridiculously rude. Upon arriving I noticed the menu was in Italian only(bizarre for somewhere so close to a massive train station that serves many inter-railers and visitors from other countries) and understanding bits and pieces we were able to piece together most of what were in the pizza however when it came to one or two ingredients we were baffled. I asked the waiter who was serving us what it was and he murmured an answer. I didn’t understand and he muttered again so I gave up. He had a permanent Scowl and was so unhelpful added to a terrible atmosphere in the restaurant. He seemed even more hostile to us as we were not Italian so be warned this place is NOTTOURISTFRIENDLY! Upon finishing my appetiser my girlfriend was still eating and the waiter took away my plate we got the feeling we had to leave ASAP. No comfort about the place terrible environment in general. Also it was warmer inside that evening than outside. Air con was off and the place was sweltering! However the food was tasty and very very very cheap in comparison to what we’re used to and good quality! A litre of wine for 6 euro was great too. If not for the poor service this place would have gotten 4 – 5 stars. Pity. I hope the management makes appropriate changes to better their business… It has such high potential!

Best pizza I had in Italy! We got the margarita and it was delicious!!! Omg the bread was so chewy and soft. So good. And the cheese was soooooo good!!! Nomnom! We also got wine. They have these selections of wine where they pour into a giant glass container and it cheaper than a bottle. Our server couldn’t really explain it… Like whether or not they open a bottle or transfer from a huge giant wine bottle etc… But it was delicious and cheap. We got a white wine which went super well with our pizza. I don’t see myself coming back to Naples but if I’m ever there again I would eat here again! PS. This place is really close to train station!

Pizzeria Franco is located right next to Napoli Centrale. A great place for pizza(or whatever you like) after a train ride from Roma or one of the near by towns. The person who appears to be the owner or manager speaks some English and is very friendly. I had fried zucchini blossoms and pizza caprese. It was one of the best pizzas I have had in Italy.

10/25/2013 My husband and I traveled through Naples(from Rome) via a high-speed rail service(we got Business Class seats! woot!). .we were on our way to Amalfi Coast for a one-day excursion! Our driver dropped us off at this restaurant on our way back to Rome(from Naples train station) so that we could get some authentic Naples pizza, straight from Naples! :) To our delight, the restaurant was relatively affordable and offered to-go boxes, so we could take our pizzas with us to the train station to catch our train. It was a surprise to me that the pizza would be so big, especially since it’s a personal size pizza too. We ordered: (1) Margherita — typical marghertia style pizza, cooked in a coal-fired oven, thin crust and absolutely yummy! mozzarella and basil over tomato sauce (2) Quattro Stagioni — a pizza that’s separated into 4 sections, with 4 different toppings in each quarter of the pizza. 1st section was just mushroom, 2nd section was seafood, 3rd section was 4 cheeses, 4th section was ham & artichoke Free wi-fi available at the restaurant too, which is a bonus. Friendly and accomodating! Tip: To-go prices are 1 euro less than if you were to eat-in!
